Unlikely incredible unbelievable, which one is it ! They was 3 other teams who offered shaul a deal , we had to increase our offer to keep him . Maybe we looked at the bigger picture, how much to replace him , if overseas they don’t come cheap and who’s available here .

Regarding the NRL I’d be amazed if the teams started throwing money around like confetti. Just before the pandemic took took hold news came out about the dire state of the finances in the NRL and it being just about broke due to serious mismanagement.
Think it may take a season or two at least even for the NRL to get back on sounder financial footing.

Same applies to Shaul, you're claiming he's signed a contract worth more than £150K, I'd say it's more likely to be £150K+ over 2 years.
Probably "better" than one year contracts offered elsewhere.
