The more I think about it the more I recon Campese could be good for us. At times this season our game management has been our undoing and I'm sure with an experienced half like Campese we would of seen those games out an come away with the points.

Yeah, what is the deal with Dobson and the Knights?

Anyway Leuluai has barely played this season either. Only he hasn't played because of that really serious injury he's got that nobody seems to be mentioning.

Dobson has never done it in Oz, but has more than done it in SL. If you get him he will perform and you will have no worries on him settling in. That said, I hope you don't get him.

Campese is a very similar sort of player to cooke,not blessed with pace but a good organiser and a decent kicker and would be a good player for the team to play round,similar to cooke.All in all a pretty good signing imo.

The worry with campese would be how long a contract he would get and how many games we would get out of him over the length of that contract. Last thing we need is our star half back sat in teh stands taking up a chunk of salary cap. It would leave me with a tremendous feeling of de ja vu

Campese would be a great signing. Remember weve got Tyson-Wilson in the background and Campese would be a great guy for T-W to learn his trade from as well as stand in if Campese gets injured

Save the money and concentrate on bringing in a decent coach.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to bring Cooke in from Doncaster tasked with working with the current half backs particularly the kicking game

Crooke is not the answer I agree, as for Campese, 2 years too late.

If you had read my post correctly I didn't say bring in Cooke as head coach.
I said we should spend money on finding a good coach and bring in Cooke tasked with working with our current young halves particularly on their kicking game.

Very tough & durable, plays every week.

Not the flashiest but as others say, he doesn't need to be.

Too important a signing to risk another Dykes, Head, Long scenario.

He has the best injury record (apart from maybe Dobson) of the guys we are linked with but he is also the oldest, so that could change.

Robson always seemed a good player to me when I've seen him.
Not too flashy but would guide us round.

Wouldn't be disappointed with Robson, but Campese is the better player.

If we kept him fit, Campese would be a great signing.

I'd be interested to see who the new half back would be partnered with. I presume it would be Rankin as he's more of a runner. Miller would maybe fit better with Tommy. L only?

Ok, you've made your point. So who do you want us to acquire? We need an experienced halfback with a kicking game and a brain, there's not too many of them in world RL.

We either take a risk on Campese, or try an inexperienced youngster! We've done the latter recently....

Besides, we haven't risked it all on an injury prone Aussie since 2008, high time we tried again!

I was told we want two but its about budgets and who's willing to come. As much as I respect the guy who told me and he is heavily involved with the club his hit record is about 50%, but it is interesting that someone else has been told exactly the same this morning.
