Just beacuse there are no rumours on here doesn,t mean the club are not close to signing anybody, most signings in recent years have happened without the papers or anybody having a clue, i am sure in the next few weeks announcements will start to be made regarding extending/renewing of contracts and new signings.

Not so sure that FB is such a priority. Phelps is okay (from the little we've seen of him) and Whiting is good cover. A quality HB and a couple of big forwards (depending on who goes) are more important IMO.

the fullback posistion is very important nowadays and with most teams including us opting for a prop at 13 the number 1 shirt now is getting more and more involved in the attacking pla phelps is ok but is that good enough for a quota player nope id like someone in the vain of hodgson,webb ect very good attacking players. the 7 posistion is a must and for the forwards well all depends on wether we use quota spots on a 1 and 7 if so then fitz and lauaki may have to go so a 1 or 2 young english forwards will have to be targeted

Didn't I hear right that it's going to be easier for players to get Visas next season? If this is true I'd love us to go for Mick Picker from Canberra again. He's only 21, he wants to come to us, and at the weekend he scored a hat-trick and kicked two goals in the QC, and he's equally adept at 6 and 7. If his old drinking and driving charge stops him getting a visa, there's lots of talented halves playing Queensland cup, we just have to have a bit of vision!
