PG has already proved with Aspi and Goldie etc that he knows what he is doing and sees clearly the shape and depth of a team before we do and is clearly a VERY shrewd operator, I am sure there will be a few WTFs going around when some are announced but so far this dude has done ok in my book and we should then go with his rhythm and plan for the future and see how it all pans out next year , I am also sure that PG knows the gaffer doesnt suffer fools so will have thought long and hard with Bomber over who we want and i feel sure we will be a team to recon with next year !!

Would definatley have him as a squad player next season. Done a good job for us and shows a lot of passion. Same goes for Aspy. Shows what players who aren't so called big names can do.

Don`t need a lesson,didn`t like McGoldrick before he signed for us,stated so.I admit he has done a job for us,but can`t help forming opinions of players.

some people need a head shake. That kid has been a star performer since he got here and am sure his influence, attitude and desire has rubbed off on others. Wouldnt be a bad bench having McGoldrick, Whiting, aspinwall !!!

A lot of people said it was 18 months, the club said it was to end of season, then a lot of conspiracy theorists decided it was 6 months with a "to be announced" by default 1 year extension IIRC.

Probably worth keeping just so he can play opposite travis burns in the derbies next year

Exactly. For me it was never so much about his ability as his history of thuggish behaviour. Have to say he's been pretty much exemplary since joining us though, and has gone a long way to modifying my opinion of him on all fronts. The article quoted by StaffsFC helps a great deal as well.

McGoldrick, Martin and Aspinwall looked to be shockers but have improved our squad, says alot about some of our other players.

Agree..I was'nt to pleased about the signing and it proves how wrong many of us can be. He has been great for us and i hope he gets at least another year, as i think he has deserved it.

I think he has done a fine job since he signed. I am sure that I recall reading either on this site or the Castleford one, that he played well until he got his contract renewed & then he seemed to ease up [or words on a similar theme.

Based on what I have seen, I would consider offering him a a further contact @ the right price.
