Maybe a more beneficial discussion would be what are the pro's and con's of all 14 SL clubs and their fans. We base quite a lot of our opinions purely based on fans but seeing the bigger picture and describing what you like anc dislike about every team could be a better eye opener.

whoever is annoying at the time probably Leeds at the moment thanks to Ryan Bailey and the ignorant and arrogant fans amongst their number.

HKR is an obvious one but the extra contribution of Hudgell, one of the slimiest, small minded, petty, dishonest persons that has ever existed needs acknowledgement. For all the rivalry we have had with the dobbins you could always recognise previous team and board members as human beings (albeit misguided) and I was quite happy to drink in their pubs, etc. Hudgell I wouldn't pee on if he was on fire.

And talking of slippery individuals the only person close to Hudgell was Maurice Lindsay and the serial cheating he did at Wigan and then for them when he was at the RL. Add the arrogance, sense of entitlement and complete blindness to their cheating of the Wigan fans and they stand out.

Strangely with Leeds I had more dislike for them in the 80's and 90's when they bought everything and won nothing. Nowadays, though it pains me to say it, they are a very well run club who we could learn a few things from, especially regarding player development.

And yet no-one hates/dislikes Saints.

I never used to dislike Warrington but I do now because their fans now come across as really arrogant, a la Leeds and (to a lesser extent these days) Wigan. St Helens I don't perceive as arrogant - I think this is the differentiating factor.

Perhaps we come over to the Wakey fans as being arrogant with our sweeping dismissal of Agar. WE know why (and I personally feel very sorry for Wakey fans) but they don't - yet - and I think that's what's induced their current hatred of us.

Obviously I hate Rovers, but this is genetic passed on from my father and cultivated growing up in Threepenny. An anomaly.

That worm has never seen service, it is an insult to the innocent thousands who have suffered defending our nation and paid a very heavy price. And not forgetting the countless families devastated by war.

I think Saints aren't hated much because most people recognise that their achievements have been done in a mostly straightforward and open manner. No favourable SL decisions, no flagrant cap cheating (I know there were a couple of minor issues but they are hardly in Wigan or Wire's class) and no outrageous quota fiddles and dispensations. Add to that they play an attractive game and give British players a chance so their is little reason for dislike beyond obvious rivalry.

Show me anywhere an instance of Wire infringing the salary cap

and their fans are gracious in defeat and victory, if you ignore ROMMELL then St's are a great bunch of supporters, unlike the arrogant numpties from Wire and L**ds.

a simple link to your squad covers it, there's more sharp practice at Wire than any other club in the game, but you've just proved the arrogance point for everyone to read.

It is clear to see from your opening post that you clearly have an axe to grind with rovers - and wakefield, probably cos of the agar thing (?) - and your topic question is perfectly debatable, but the stuff you wrote is so pathetic and narrow minded.



Firstly, how can you try to justify the drugs thing? It goes beyond rivalry between clubs to criticise this thing and demand a punishment (for club and for action to be done at a higher level within the RFL).
Some of your fans have admitted that your old board were WRONG to do it, and if you can't see how disgraceful this situation is then you are not a true lover of this sport. And dietry supplement, or crack cocaine, it is still an illegal substance.



I find this comment laughable too. Please define the Mason saga to me? Everything we did with that was done within the rules. Do the rules need tightening on overseas players? Of course they do. Different debate, and something that isn't in Rovers' or any club's hands.

As for the Cockayne saga, he should have gone to prison for what he did, of course. But did he? That's the British Legal System for you. So Rovers were left in a no win situation. Release him and let you lot or someone else sign him, or keep him. After two much lesser disciplinary problems, they released him. They had to. So I see no evidence of "brushing the Cockayne saga under the carpet"

You guys are my most hated team, but I have applauded tries that you have scored in the past etc if it warranted it.

Give over, how is stating that we are not cheating arrogant when, we are not cheating, i think you need to look at your own recruitment policy rather than bash ours, the only difference with our club is that we are prepared to pay transfer fees and put a bit more faith in the senior players with slightly longer contracts.

If you believe that then fair enough, the big difference has been that Moran has deep pockets and is happy to do whatever it takes to get players in, even if that means not playing by the cap rules.

Morley, Hodgson, Solomona and even Trent Waterhouse chose Wire due to the fact we were prepared to give them longer contracts than anyone else. The first 3 have never let us down and fully warranted their contract length. Wigan wanted Morley, Hodgson would rather have stayed at Hudds but they wanted to guarantee their income for a little bit longer.

And you believe, honestly, that all payments from Warrington are within the rules of the cap, totally above board, as I said, up to you, but it's clear to just about every other club in SL that there is something "interesting" about how you afford your squad under the cap rules.

It matters not to me, we tried cheating with drugs last season and still won nothing!

I'm sure you will provide me with a series of quotes from that great moral guardian, Saint Hudgell, demanding more action when players at other clubs have failed tests.

How do the RFL auditors manage to miss out all our dodgy dealings months after month.....i'm guessing it's because we are above board.

He's actually demanding more action given that the board covered up that other players could have potentially had the drug in their system. There's a difference.

For me, my hatred for wovers is on a different level to any other team. I love Hull FC with a real passion, and for me my feelings for dobbins is the exact opposite.

Yes I really dislike whinos and they're smarmy, cocky, love-to-slap faces that each Leeds born player seems to have. But it will never come close to HKR.

What a pathetic topic, this just shows how narrow minded some posters are, I couldn't give a toss about the chairman of another team, I don't really hate there players as I don't know them, I love to watch MY team

Being a Rovers fan for over 25 years I dont 'hate' you. I love it when we beat you and dont go out when you beat us, but honestly with the wire and wigan thinking they rule the sport I secretly like it if you beat them as long as it means you dont win trophys. I would love it if both clubs swapped places with them and again were the clubs to beat.
