Seems to happen to us more than other clubs...Lee and Thackry didnt do it either......How would you feel if you had 1 bad game and was dropped when others are as bad....Hall will always be a scapegoat.

Hall's played 60 odd games for FC. If he'd delivered consistently he'd have forced his way into the first team, like Houghton and Whiting have done.

How do you know it happens to us more than others? Do you keep abreast of every prospect coming through every club? I think you'll find it just seems like it happens to us more because you notice it more when it's our club.



He's not a scapegoat. Really, he isn't. He's just not as good overall as most (if not all) of the other first team players. If he set the world alight in the games he did play, he wouldn't get dropped.

I think a useful measure of how good a player he is would be the number of clubs interested in him should he become available, and, more importantly, their league positions. Do you seriously think Wigan, Saints, Leeds, Wire or Hudds would want him?

I would like to know how many he has had in 1 go in the cntres.........Houghton is a daft option as he is a bloody hooker and has had to come in and has had only 1 person to vie with and in this game now you use 2 hookers anyway.

Whiting is a 100% and can cover a variety of roles......you have made it clear you dont like Hall....i personally think he is the best attacking centre at the club and yes his defence is dodgy.......i will personally take the word of a ex Widnes player who played with Hall last season over a accountant who only rates someone if he has nice legs and .

Or, alternatively, an English centre who has made 60-odd first team appearances for a club that hasn't done too well over the past few seasons and has failed to cement a regular starting place despite a massive injury list.

How would i know if he did as i didnt go........Oh so Briscoe is open to critism then....earlier in the season he was making mistakes with Hall but nothing was said about him....he is going to be a hell of a winger but he does need to work on positional play as he does get caught out...im never dissapointed when players do well and the team wins.

Won't hear a word against him.



Was a tough game today actually - the swirling wind was vicious and I was a bit worried about him under the bomb but he did pretty well.

Calderwood's been out for most of the season.
Nobody else would want him except the bottom half teams, he's not good enough consistantly and Whiting shows him up completely on how to perform no matter were you're played.

Best get rid of most of them then, because I reckon there's only a handful who would interest those clubs.

I reckon any of the above would attract some interest from those clubs provided they had a need to recruit in their relevant positions. Long would have been one of them too if he wasn't crocked.

I wouldn't object to that in the short term. But like I said earlier, if we're going to improve we have to lose some of our current players and sign better ones. If we re-sign everyone, we'll just stay the same. Of all the players in the first team squad, I'd prefer to see Hall move on than any of the others. Followed by Washbrook. Not because I think they're [ibad[/i players, just that they're not [igood enough[/i if we want to be genuine contenders for silverware.

A new condition? How desperate a need are we talking here? Any other conditional modifiers you'd like to add?

Yeaman and Whiting have no place on that list IMO. Depending on what you count as Whiting's position. Berrigan would be borderline, as would Lauaki.
