Hull FC's first shirt was scarlet and white stripes with the three crowns on a black badge. Hull White Star started with a blue and white shirt before switching to a black shirt with a white star.

When the two clubs merged the original shirt was black with a blue and gold badge. There was a temporary move to cherry and white stripes but this was ditched as the colours ran when the shirts were washed. We were known as the "All Blacks" around the late 1880s (around the same time as the original New Zealand team were first called that). The black shirts remained until around 1908 when the irregular hoops were first introduced.

We should play in our traditional red and white in 2015 then

Interesting stuff. I have a photo of Hull FC form their first season in the Northern Union in 1895 when they moved to Boulevard and they had black shirts, white shorts.

Just updated the list on page 1 with the new Cas kit, sported by Mr Andy Lynch. Quite smart in my opinion.

Wakefield and Wigan kits released yesterday. Wakefield ones horrible. Wigan have a twist on the Argentina Union kit, I personally like it.

Wigan home shirt is dreadful, what are they thinking

Huddersfield away is out - all white with superimposed picture of their team from 100 years ago - one for the Huddersfield purist.

Yea I put that on the list, but on their website it's named as "Alternate" instead of "Away". So I assumed it was a 3rd kit or special edition kit haha

That Wigan kit is horrific, straight out of 1986.

Wigan away has been used by Bratfut, Wire, Leeds and Us.

The home is bile dribbled down the front, maybe ISC bought new clip art, expect to see us in that in a couple of years. I wouldnt put it past them to roll it out for 2015

Been designing some shirts for SL teams and this is what I came up with for Hull FC. What do Hull FC fans think?

No offence, but green on a Hull FC shirt is equivalent to lighting the blue touch paper. I quite like the home one, but not a fan of the Peru style diagonal sash thing.

huddersfield away looks smart would love something along these lines for the clubs 150th anniversary in 2015 with a selection of eras shirts with original shirt above a watermark of
pic of squad from that era

Think it looks very odd... not something you'd usually have on a rugby shirt (or any other sporting shirts for that matter). But I guess it's in keeping with Huddersfield's recent tradition of weird away kits! Like last seasons lightning kit, and the one the year before that that I just can't explain!

That Wigan home shirt is easily one of the worst kit designs ever. And Wigan have had some stinkers. Are they going for another shirt designed to confuse the opposition?

I'd suggest the Warrington home kit is the best. Traditional,smart, looks good. Don't mind the Widnes kit but that's probably because it looks familiar! Dobbins going for the Salford retro look this year it seems, but it's a tidy looking kit.

Gotta admit it is a bit of fun having a go at kit designs when you've got a bit of spare time, for example I had a go at our 2015 kit



Would love us to have a long sleeve kit though, they used to look so smart!
