Same as Carl Spackler , Not seen to much of him this season . Potentially , He could turn out to be a very good signing for us . Possible the end for Burnett ?

If he turns out a good 'un it's a pretty poor move by them when their props are mostly knocking on a bit.

The more I read about our management team, the more confident I am for our future.

Almost certain I reckon, we shouldn't have really brought him back in the first place. Nowhere near good enough at prop and our backrow is far too strong for him to break into.

I expect them to announce a signing from Bradford to replace him in the next few days.

Good move by the club particularly as the forwards is an area where the academy players are not quite ready for this level and certainly not over the easter period when missing both O'Meley & Moa.

Gives us breathing space and and does not put too much pressure on Bowden who seems to be progressing well.

Wonder if Leeds will be raiding the Bulls hence allowing Pitts to move on?

It's been mentioned on the club website, possibly in the Jay Pitts announcement, that Burnett is unavailable to play.


Regardless, I don't see him having a long-term future at the club.

Quite possibly, but their old fellas seem to be outnumbering the younger ones still, particularly at prop. 4 in their 30s now.

Good signing by the club, pleased to see we are looking at young British players around SL first, before looking overseas (like we did with Cordoba in 2009 and that french prop in 200icon_cool.gif

I reckon we've been very savvy here. I bet we hear no more about the Briscoe fiasco, we won't take it any further. It feels like an appeasement deal to me which suits our needs now and for the future. Don't reckon either Moa or O'Meley will be next year so we've covered one of them early, still believe we will get another prop in next season possible an overseas player.

Haven't seen alot of him so cant comment on pitts, like others can see moa and o'meley both going which i still think one of them should be kept

If he's a direct replacement for one of o'meley or moa next season then we're weaker in the front row for certain. Haven't really seen that much of him but thought he was a back rower rather than a prop

Like Wests tigers rather have a mobile pack and not have a huge set of forwards

I've no problem with a mobile pack, providing the mobility is not in reverse

We lack some size in the forwards already IMO. Think we'll get the sheet knocked out of us against the dobbins and shudds over easter. Signings like this won't address that. Hope we have a massive south seas island prop coming in

with 10 interchanges a mobile pack could do very well, big units will get tired out trying to tire ours out
