I'm guessing it's more to do with following timelines set out in the policy. He'll have right of notice of a hearing and the right to be represented. Would possibly take some setting up depending on who his representative is. The club are also unlikely to make any announcement until after his appeal period has expired

Indeed. I think we can safely assume the club will seek legal advice whenever it is considering terminating someone's employment.

I should have thought that Rule as CEO could make the decision without having to go to the board. I'm guessing any appeal would have to be heard by Kath and if so she would have to stay out of the process until then.

Possibly. Depends how they would work it. Where i work a Head of a different function will hear an appeal who hasnt been involved. You could argue that Kath may not be independant enough. I'm not sure how it works in sport but it could well be that an alternative club chairman could hear the case? Not sure.

FFS it would be simpler & cheaper to put a contract out on him, rather than fanny around much more

| will he stay or will he go now.
whats everyones views, will he be sacked or will he be given another shot, just interested in what people think??
also my honest opinion is agar is in a no win situation cos damned if he does damned if he doesnt, reckon deep down he will want to keep him but on the other side of the coin he will be thinking is he gunna let me down again.

| Tough call for Agar. One part of me thinks he has had enough chances so sack him. Another part of me thinks he is a good attacking player for us (and god do we need those) and especially as we already two players light then is it worth giving him one last chance.
If I were making the call I would probably give him one more chance and also make him apologise to his teammates.
Either way I would support Agar in his call.

Should he be sacked? Yes
Will he be sacked? No
I think he''ll get away with it this time due to our lack of cover. But it won't be long before he's gone. He has no long term future at Hull FC.

Just read the thread Wolfie it is 100% sack him....Totally disagree about Agar being in a no win situation, he was quick enough to tell the press every time Tansey was disciplined, now he should do what he gets paid to do and sack him. If deep down like you suggest Agar does want to keep Tansey then Agar should go with Tansey.

No question and no hesitation Tansey should go, done it once too often and hasnt learnt and will only do it again further down the line. Agar set out a strict policy to remove the problems and he did that and needs to keep doing it.
Yes it may leave us short but would rather keep players who can abide by the rules and act in a professional manner both on and off the filed than a player who is just literally taking the p!$$.
If Tansey stays it undoes all the work Agar put in to remove this aspect from the club before and will in my view lead to a total lack of respect for Agar as the Head Coach from players and fans alike.

I reckon they could be waiting on signings before making the decission,if the cover comes in and we can cope then he will be history, cant see agar and the club putting up with it much longer, once the trust has been lost there is no turning back,as the saying goes a leopard never changes its spots.

Agree with all of that (except the spelling of field )

I see why you say that but hope they don't. Sends the wrong message completely. If discipline has been breached again, he has to go regardless of where it leaves us.
