Right bring the flaming because i names have been banded around. Ive heard from a RL agent (Dads mate) that Hull have enquired about Miler, Sammut and Chase. Chase wants to move, good mate with Westerman (they got suspended after a up together, but Cas dont want to let him go so would need a big fee.

Wire dont want a loan for Miler and hes not too keen (not ruled it out though), although you want to loan him.

Sammut fee is too large at minute for a guy who would only warrant and possibly sign a SHORT contract ie 1-2 yrs

Assuming you're right (I'm giving you a huge benefit of the doubt here) Then surely the only sane choice would be Chase, If were paying a fee I want it to be for somebody who's going to be here for at least 3 years. A loan for myler? Don't see the point.

Depends on how high we are willing to go and how many times Cas are prepared to say no. Is there a price that they will deal at? If so can we afford that price?

yes myler lol. I heard the myler was the most unlikely as well, purely because i dont think any of the 3 parties are that keen to make it happen. think it was another option due to the unexpectedly high price for sammut.

Has to be Chase out of them for sure. Easily the best out of them 4, with Sammut after him. Could be interchaning with Houghton in the Hookers and be a great partnership with Longy. Still doubtful that Cas will let him go though, but they do have Orr now and McGoldrick can play in the halves with him if needs be. Still, would be very happy with Sammut.

Do Cas need the money? I would have thought the Sammut one had more chance considering their current financial state of affairs. Wouldn't have thought Chase being mates with Westerman would have much bearing on the situation, lets face it Cas is hardly 100's of miles away if they fancy a P** up.

Signing Chase, would make the pre-season friendly a bit special, going to Cas after signing two of their best players

I think it happens at alot of clubs and has done for years.The only question is if they get caught or not.If Chase was offered to us,i would get him signed up in a instance.

if its a choice between the 2 Chase is maybe the more risky off the field but for me the on the field he's the one I would prefer. If Agar thought he could manage then let the club sort it.

If castleford were willing to sell Chase then the board should pulling out all the stops to get him

With Chase on board then i'll feel confident we could actually win some silverware this season. Not just that but it would mean at the end of 2011 we would only need to sign one more high profile HB with the exit of Long/Horne

IMO if Westermans transfer is worth £150k then i reckon the board should shell out even more for Chase!

I'd offer 100k + Washbrook for Chase, and then get Phelps in on a one year deal.

After losing Shenton and Westerman Cas would not, dare not, sell Chase unless (1) the fee was astronomical and (2) Chase forced their hand by staying away. Re (1) I think even Hull would choke on it and (2) he's not the type....he put his hand up to be the only senior to play virtually the whole game against York on Sunday. Nothing's certain where money's involved but I wouldn't put a penny on Chase moving before 2012 unless Cas miss out on a license in July and start trying to cash in all the assets they can.

Personally I can't understand why your not at least talking about Sam Obst who must now be removable from Wakey.

£100k + Washbrook wouldn't be a bad way to kick off the negotiations.

Cas will not sell Chase unless it was for a ridiculously huge figure and by huge, I mean higher than the Fielden's transfer to Wigan. £500k no less. He is literally worth that much to us IMO (maybe not to you but to lose him would be committing suicide).
