So IF it did happen that Pearson went in and let off steam what does it solve..nuttin'. It doesn't really motivate people to do better, in fact it has a more harmful effect. Just because rugby players are tough physically doesn't make them tough mentally. That they've been playing the way they have injuries or no it's pretty clear that they were defeated before they even got onto the pitch, that is the problem that needs adressing more than any other.

It really doesn't do any good whatsoever for an owner (especially one with with Pearson's history) to go wading in

Maybe the owner is more concerned with the mental state of the fans than the team.

it would do me the world of good if my boss was grilling me because i was under performing id do everything in my power to put it right and show him how valuable i was at the end of the day hes the boss he employs this team and the coach if he feels they are constantly getting it wrong he steps in and gives them a piece of his mind put a bit of fear into them so they actually play like they want to win and succeed

For me AP has put too much focus on beating Leeds, hes forgot those little webbed fingered inbreads need 3 beatings a year too

id rather focus on beating leeds then rovers tbh we would get alot further beating leeds then we would focusing on rovers thats why alot of our fans annoy me forget about rovers we need to be mixing it with leeds saints wigan warrington and hudds

To right there mate, we all love beating them but they're small fry who's only seasonal ambition is to beat us at all costs. You're right, we should be in with the big lads (and should have been for years). We don't need to stoop to lowly goals like they do. That's why they react like they've won the Grand Final and challenge cup all rolled into one when they beat us-they have met their goal. Our goals are and should be much, much higher.

very true since rovers have come into super league they has been far too much emphasis on the derby and worrying about there league position instead of looking at it just like another game and targeting the top teams and that for me is stopping us from going up a level and challenging like we was before they came up!!

Maybe explains why they get more supporters at the KC than at Caravan Park!.

Every year in the pub before the game I ask them how they got here ,was it on coach or train

The KC derby is their WCC , GF and Challenge Cup rolled into one.
Every dog has it`s day and Rover had his in Friday.

Regarding pearson, i think he had everyright to do what he did. He's got ambitions just like all of us. And as he saw many FC fans walking out with 15 minutes to go in the biggest game of the season (derby that is) it must of been an eyeopener

Fair play to Pearson, cant blame him if true. The team needed to be told a few home truths, though I would i would have thought a huge amount of blame must be direced towards McRae and Gentle. Its their squad, its their tactics, its their coaching. Pearson is not a rugby league man and needed guiding by these two and looking on the evidence of players brought in and results, they are both failing miserably to help Pearson out.

Not strictly true. We get to play the 'big boys' at least twice a season regardless of how we do against the 'small fry'.

First off, the tactics and coaching aren't anything to do with McRae.

Secondly, it isn't Gentle's tactics. That's a large part of the problem.

Thirdly, it all worked well enough last season with the same coach.

I thought McRae has an insight and influence of all thats going on at the club, a bit like Waites at Catalan. It wouldnt surpise me if he has a say.

It may have gone well last season, but this seasons signings have been poor, it wasnt just the supporters that believed all the hype, it was the whole rugby league community.
