Your talking about superstars of our game and one young lad who looks very special, not Seymoor who has been replaced by a teenager and forced into reserve grade. Huge difference in quality!!!!

A teenager who looks "very special" has replaced Seymoor.......Very happy with this signing,has a wealth of experience in the NRL and will do a job for us.

He does look like a good player but for me DCE has it all, can see him been a future international for many years to come, wonder if he is going to be the replacement for Lockyer.

And to put things into perspective, you're talking about somebody who never really made it beyond that reserve grade, yet because he's done well over here is somehow more proven in your eyes.

Let me just see if I'm understanding your reasoning properly. If, for example, Leeds were to have signed Ryan Hinchcliffe to replace Buderus, he should be commanding less money than Lincoln Withers? Likewise if Ben Roberts comes over to SL he should be earning less than Blake Green?

Agree with what Sheldon has said about the cap been used like Smailes suggest. We should be using the money to tie Welham, Watts, Taylor, Cox and Green to long terms deals and you should use it to do the same for Houghton and Briscoe along the lines of the deals that Hudds have given to their talent.

but you can guarantee most clubs will throw the money at some average Aussie instead.

100 grand isn't really going to make much difference if it's split between 4 or 5 players anyway, plus if other clubs have the same dispensation then all that will happen is that they can offer more to your players anyway.

Agreed. Would be better to increase the cap to £2m, reintroduce the 50% rule and actully enforce the 5 overseas players rule IMO.
