just a few observations from a fantastic day
1-the young lass singing abide by me showing real bottle when badly let down by technical issues
2-Ellery Hanley getting introduced to players and taking a moment to offer every player words of praise and advice. Showed real class.
3- May of missed it but Lee Radford didn't appear to go up for his medal or to lift cup. Was waiting for it but screen in stadium changed after fanoa who then walked down with cup.
4-lack of wigan fans was quite shocking for a team who have had little to cheer this year

Wigans lack of fans was a joke tbh. They should be ashamed of themselves. Somebody on their forum who doesnt seem to be liked said its because theyre not beating teams 50-0 every week - maybe their fans are all a bit spoilt and cant handle other teams being as good/better - me personally i dislike them more than Rovers or Leeds

Hanley also took time to actually speak to all of the Hull players when we went up for the cup

Rather have people like him who know and love the game presenting the cup. Olso saw Andy Farrell afterwards and he was very complimentary of hull.

Noticed that but as you said he made himself look like a total c@ck. Only embarrassed himself. Made it even sweeter though for me seeing a wigan legend looking like that while Gaz Ellis has that cup in his hands.

Finally made it home, after another brilliant Wembley nerve tingler weekend. Great night with Wilf on Friday, in The Globe, wallowing in FC heaven. Saturday was due to catch the 20.34 out of KX. Didn't leave the "Crock of Gold" in time and missed it of course, and had to deck down on the floor of my mates room.
So much for saving pennies for Oz.

Still in a bit of a trance and elated that the boys did it for us. Thanks for the memories. These are Special times.

Amazing weekend with good friends and a brilliant result, and one of the best Chinese meals I've had since..... this time last year!

It was interesting to hear that Wigan had invited Andy and Owen Farrell to hand out the playing shirts. As per Warrington last year with Stuart Pearson they decided to bring in special guests.

Presumably Hull did as 2016 and kept it in house (although I think Johnny Vegas would have been up for it). Our way of doing things again came up trumps.

I was sat out on the terrace Friday having a drink with some Welsh lads doing the McDonald's up.
Shame it was closed for a refurb.
It was the only other building within a million miles. ☺
