Rebuilding the squad was always going to take time after the mess of Kear/Sharpes recruitment flaws. Anybody who thought this was going to be done last year and this was being unrealistic due to contracts/quota.
I'll not defend the club regarding the half-back situation as it has (up to now) failed to deliver. But things take time and I don't think people quite appretiate the mess we were in when Agar took charge.

I expect our team to challenge the better sides in the league, and by winning the games which we should have won last season I don't see much reason why we can't finish high. A couple of additions to the side and we won't be far off IMO.

Well we may have to recruit 2 half-backs next season and two new forwards so I'm guessing that will be another transational year ? Agar has being in charge nearly 3 years and the reason we have improved a little bit is because we have better players not because of Agar but suppose finishing about 6th is good

I beg to differ Jake. Do you really think there's that much difference between the way we play and the way Wigan play? Wigan are just damn good at it, that's why they walked the league.
This is why Westerman is so important to the way we're going to play IMO, he will be that link between the halves and the 3 quarters. Picking the side he runs on, he'll offer dummy running, the ability to ghost through a gap and quick hands once he commits his man.
People see Westerman given the 11 shirt and question it, when as Sheldon has pointed out before, in our team playing our way, 2nd row is the perfect position for him.

I think there's a world of difference between how we play and how wigan do. I'm surprised you're even drawing a similarity between us. It's like we're playing a different game, never mind a different style. We can't even pass the ball along the line properly

Yes, we did it to Saints opening game last year.

No we didn't. saints were the better side for the first 20 minutes and we didn't exactly dominate them through the game

And we still beat them.
