Because I've not seen any real passing ability from him. He reminds me of yeaman, just a bit quicker.

A quicker version of Yeaman has to be a better option than Yeaman himself, surely??

For now he shoud stay at winger, against Bradford last season when he was away down the wing. He really should of passes to his inside but didn't look comfortable in doing so, so he had to back himself and it only just came off.

Its the extra speed that should keep him on the wing IMO.

Hopefully centre in due course. Maybe winger for another season. Agree with previous point that he is strong like Yeaman but I think he may have a bit more about him up top. Still a youngster with plenty to learn and it's great he is in the England set up from that point of view.

Hall and Briscoe in the centres, Yeaman in the 2nd row. It was talked about a couple of years ago that Yeaman fancied moving to the 2nd row, we have the opportunity to do it if players can stay fit. We have 2 extremely experienced international wingers and 2 of the brightest prospects in SL in the centres. Added to Tansey at full back and we have a pretty good looking back 5. Yeaman would add the pace to the 2nd row that we have been lacking and would enable Manu to return to the bench as the strike player that he is.

He'll play mostly on the wing next year but then progress to be one of the best centres in the game imo.

So what makes you think playing on the wing for 2 1/2 years will make him one of the best centres in the game??

Because i've seen him play centre and because i've already seen him demonstrate most of the skills needed to do so. Why, do you think he wont?

It's not a bad suggestion. Not a great one either but it would allow us to play all 3 strike centres that we have in the squad.

Ive been toying with the idea for a bit now.

I think he's ready now and has more to offer in that position than Yeaman, thats what i've been saying.

Don't you think we have enough back rowers already? 3 or so back rowers are already going to miss out the majority of the time due to us having loads of back rowers already.

Thats just what I was thinking, the only position we do lack cover for is in the halves.

How do you get to develop into a position if you don't play in that position,there will come a time when Agar has to bite the bullet and name him as centre to see how he goes.

Winger for next season with perhaps the odd game at centre with a view to him possibly moving to centre the following season.

Briscoe is still learning the game and doing that at centre is pretty tough, he is doing very well on the wing and I think he should be fazed in at centre as the season progresses. There were a few times last season were he broke through and took the wrong option so for me he is not yet ready to play centre week in/out.

i get the impression hes in front of calderwood and hall, so it depends who gets picked out of those 2 to were tom plays.

Why oh dear? It's only a couple of years ago that Yeaman himself was saying he fancied moving up to 2nd row, he actually had a couple of games where he was moved to that position. It was only due to injuries and our shortness of quality in the backs that it didn't become a permanent move.

Because we have far too many back rowers already, and think it would be pointless adding another one. Our set of back rowers are very good and don't see the need to move him there just to fit in both Hall and Briscoe.
