Quite often it comes at head height, which allows the defence to close down an extra yard or two. I counted 2-3 poor passes from Johnstone during one set in the Wigan game. Houghton passing isn’t consistent either.
I didn’t play rugby to a very high level, but at school we were taught to pass at stomach height just in front of the player running onto the ball. The must be more errors too resulting from head high passes
It’s not just Hull, but passing in Rugby League is a skill that very few teams seem to work on. I’m not a Union fan, but caught a bit of Aus v NZ the other weekend. The passing speed and accuracy of the scrum halves was amazing in comparison.
Same ball and pick up from the ground before passing.
Surprised clubs don’t get their players to work on this basic skill more.'"
Glad I'm not imagining this. I've lost count recently how often Snead has to jump while receiving the pass from dummy half, resulting in a lost second or 2. |

I agree, my point is that his appointment has probably been decided at least a couple of weeks, so I would have thought that IF we are making signings he would be aware and having his say. As I said, just my take on what he said in interview about Connor (Jake) at full back. |

The ashall bolt signing may have been in the final stages, and Hodgson may have pulled it as he wants Jake at full back. Doesnt seem like a Hodgson signing to me.....who would you like to provide depth in the backs.....eerrrmmm get me Ashall-Bolt please
