It would be great to open up a gap between us and 5th. If we could maintain that, it becomes a one off 80 minute game to get to the Grand Final. Anything could happen!

A Wembley appearance ( hopefully a win ) and 4th or above finish in the league would do me this season .

Wembley is the one for me, we've a good chance this year as on our day we can beat any team, I see Leeds as the team we struggle with & their out, Radders wants the lot even though he's taking it a game at a time, but he's an eye on silverware, he said he won't be happy till the cabinets filling up.

We never know pal eh? We just enjoy the better rugby for now, see if we can gather momentum, it's if we hit a bad patch. Injuries or results it's how we recover.

Nice atmosphere around the club at the moment.

Our league position is most pleasing. The players are all playing forces bother and the team spirit is fantastic. Lee Radford has proved all his doubters wrong ( and I was one of them).

The future stability of the staff and squad are already place for next season and beyond.

The fans are also keeping the season in perspective, with hope continuing ahead of expectation. We are maintaining a focus on the next game only mentality. Each week will continue to be a challenge, but one we are now capable of rising to and competing with.

It's th prospect, however fanciful, of playing in the WCC

My Storm mate said last night that he easn't happy at all that we were sniffing st Blake Green !

The way I look at it, if we were offered top 4 at the start of the season, we'd have jumped at the chance. The aim still has to be cementing that top 4 place for the super eights, but as this run goes on and on, the prospect of doing even better than that becomes real. The league seems very open this year, every team is beating each other, and there's not really a stand out team in the league as of yet.

The form and consistency we are showing gives us the perfect opportunity to be one of the frontrunners not only for the League Leaders Shield, but the Grand Final and the Cup too.

I'm torn on what I would prefer. The Cup has the history and significance about it, but the Grand Final has the prestige and status in terms of a season-long effort. It's nice to be in this position for once though!!!

For me I think a Wembley appearance and win would transform the club massively by getting rid of that monkey on our backs.

Top 4 was the aim and that should still be the case, anything more is a bonus and something to continue to build on and enjoy the moments so far. Looking at the top 4 currently and over the last few rounds there has been no more than 2-4 pts in it so as long as remain within the fight until the Super 8's we have a great chance.

As Radford has said they are just using the old cliche of taking it one game at a time and creadit to him and the coaching staff and players for at last for having a better mental attitude to achieve success this season.

Beginning of the season, I predicted a cheeky fourth spot and a good cup run, now I want more, a Wembley win for me, but that could mean league focus slipping????

He also said hudds would win 8 from 8 and leeds 6 from 8. How he predicted those two based on the year so far is beyond me.

Joint top rd 5 2001, we were top 4 all season that year bar one round.
Rnd 2 2002,
2004 we kept slipping up but were scoring for fun, we racked up 82 against Salford and 70 two weeks later again at home averaged 30 for and only 17 against for the 28 games (2016- 27/21.5 respectively)
And 2006 was a very good season but with silly slip ups costing us and were 2nd for much of the second half of the season with that end of season run ending when we lost to London!
2009- rounds 2-5 joint top with Leeds undefeated until we lost by a point to Cas at home then lost to London..again then Rovers at home..5 defeats on the trot after 5 wins

then worse with just 5 more wins in 22 games, we had truly gone from the dizzy heights to rock bottom under Agar

We've basically sniffed around in the early rounds then fell away, we certainly haven't been top this deep into the season for a very long time. This part of the season is as fraught as the rest of it wondering if/when we are going to get knocked over...

Not fraught for me. Hoped for 6th. Anything else is a massively enjoyable and unexpected bonus. Why spoil the enjoyment of a lovely run of form with stress about it ending? Plenty of time to mither about that should it happen.

In 2006 we didn't make 2nd until round 23 when we beat Leeds to go above them. The Catalans win at home in round 26 guaranteed us 2nd and we then lost the final two regular season rounds at Warrington and Wigan. The Harlequins loss was a disappointment to end the thirteen match winning run. We came back from 18-2 down at half time to bring it to 16-18. Cooke was missing that game and Kirk Dixon missed a conversion.

We briefly went top on points difference in 2012 after the Good Friday derby win over Rovers but that was only round nine.

As good as it is to be top, I really hope we lift a cup or trophy this year. Don't think anyone really cares about the big dinner platter compared to the other two.
