The irony is, I think most fans could probably see the thinking behind accepting a fee for Westerman.

But it's Adam's obsession with pass sales - and the cold, calculated PR which comes with protecting them - which are damaging him more than the decisions themselves!

Motu doesn't deserve to become a Comical Ali figure to Adam's Saddam.

I personally aren't bothered about Westerman, he is too inconsistent and how long do we have to wait for him to become this star player, apart from once at Cats away I can't remember a great try he scored or assist. He works hards and has decent defence, although can be sloppy at times, but we have players like Washy, Whiting and even Hadley that can do that role, but much cheaper.

I will be annoyed with the club though, they did it with Lineham and looks like it with Westerman, they need to stop lying or at least not putting out these press statements saying players are staying etc.

Perhaps saying the player is staying increases the fee to be paid as he is seen as an asset.

I agree, and this is something Radford has got right, it has needed doing for years.

Happy to see him released personally, he is never going to be the player it was thought he could be.

What are the outstanding facets of his game? He takes it to the line and links play well but I can't think of anything else he is particularly good at. He lacks any real power or mobility. He certainly works hard albeit with a few crucial defensive errors.

But for probably half the price, Danny Washbrook can work hard, and if he is dropped he won't throw his toys out of the pram and ring up his agent telling him to get him a new club

don't want to see him go but if that's the case so be it, nobody on here knows what goes on behind closed doors and maybe there is a good reason for him to leave if that is the case

Well, almost a week after Westerman shook hands on a deal with Warrington, Adam has seemingly still managed to keep news of the signing embargoed.

Is it simply because he wants a few more desperate hours of being able to flog memberships on a "no squad is stronger" ticket whilst flicking V's with the fans?

Or does he need more time to work out how he is going to explain this one away, given the vehemence of his and Motu's recent denials and rebuttals?

Perhaps he will announce the signing of Tom Biggs once again to cushion the blow?

How and when he breaks the news will not alter the (ever growing) perception that Adam Pearson says one thing in public, yet does another in private!

I actually agree with Pearson and think we have the strongest squad on paper since 2006, even if Westerman is sold.

As we all know, except AP, the game isnt played on paper.

I agree with the potential sale,from a financial point of view,
to let a player of his calibre,leave on a free, is not good business sense.

AP shouldve never sanctioned the early termination of various players contracts(circa 500k??), I can only think of one owner (Koukash),who has previously gone down this road.

This is one of the reasons why,our financial outlook is looking not so healthy.. -IMO

Like most players, opinion is split on Westerman. If a player wants to leave or the club no longer want him I don't think it's healthy for either party for him to stay. I would however, expect the club to receive market value for that player, whatever that may be. In this particular case I would expect any fee to be soaked up by the current reported losses the club are making which whilst not ideal is understandable.

I very much doubt he is trying to "flick the V's" to the fans. He more than anyone has a financial vested interest in the club. He stands to lose out far more if things do not work out.

As has been pointed out, the stead fast denials which are publicly stated are a way of trying to ramp up the price.

Its a little like a Boards vote of confidence in a manager. How often has that ended in the manager being removed from office?
