Tansey breached Hull's discipline procedure THREE times. Gleeson has been made aware of the code of conduct and no doubt if he misbehaves he won't stay long. Hopefully he has learnt his lesson and sees this as a chance to get his career back on track.

AFAIA he was discilplined once by Wigan last season. This year his problem were not of his own doing.

When Gleeson was at the Wire you could tell he was class.
The best i have ever seen him play was against the Wire a few weeks before the betting scandal hit the news. He single handedly destroyed us down the left side and gave the best Centre display I have ever seen he was miraculous, he signed for us a month or so later and I was very very happy. Unfortunately at the Wire we never saw him put in a display that good. At times he was very good but at other times he was a good player but nothing more.

When Andrew Johns came to the Wire the year you ended our play off hopes Mr Johns was asked which player would if he could take back to the NRL with him and he said without a doubt Martin Gleeson, hope he does for you what he did for Saints and at times for Wigan.

Not according to Wigan it wasn't.

The young lad you refer to had 3 opportunities to right the wrongs whilst taking a wage from Hull FC and he failed. I believe Hull gave him every chance and did reluctantly release him from his contract.

On the other hand Gleeson is a gamble because of his chequered past without doubt. Maybe Agar thinks that Gleeson will learn from his mistakes or maybe he has given him the contract on terms that he must adhered to or else. Either way Agar has gambled on signing a player who's rugby playing ability is unquestionable and will strengthen his team for a salary we can clearly afford. Bottom line is every Super League team would take Gleeson the player...

Time will tell.

Initially I had my reservations, however I think it could prove to be a great signing.

Agar's recruitment once again has been excellent this year

We've signed a top class centre with proven ability to look after his winger so we must play a genuine winger outside Gleeson. A real opportunity for Wilf Sharp IMHO.

Genuinely he would be a great scout.

we are the only club desperate enough to give him a contract remember he,s already played his best years at saints and warrington, if he was courting clubs down under but he signed for us don,t tha say something fair enough if he was 25 seems to me money thrown at a name again clubs like wigan don,t get rid of players for nothing. just my own opinion
