He's been earning a six-figure income for nearly four years now so nobody can argue he's done what he said he would, he's honest as the day is long that Rich Agar!

So what would you look for in a coach?
As a Rovers fan I dont think we can continue spending full cap so If Morgan went I'd want a coach who is hungry to prove and has experience in coaching reserve grade/acadamy footy to appreciate who can make the jump from that station to the next. We may still make the odd marque singing but predominally we will have to up our youth intake. Now the licenses have been granted I would take another season or 2 of mediocraty if we came out with half a side of club trained youngsters and were starting to compete.

its just the sort of thing that coaches and managers say when they are given new deals...means nothing really.they just roll out the excuses/mitigating circumstanes as to why they havent achieved what they said at the time..its hardly going to be in his contract.

Nobody knows what has been discussed with agar and pearson,im sure all will be revealed once the final game of the season has been played.

Why wait? Kear has been told he is not wanted. If Pearson wants to keep Agar until the end of the season then fine (after all Agar has made sure there is no assistant capable of stepping up) but he can still be given his notice.

I'm sure he will go. I also believe AP will want to arrest the slide in attendances & make a statement of intent. He's savvy enough to seek out advice on who to appoint, & not just go for whoever is cheap & available (as the previous regime did).

Pearson's football appointments have generally been expensive and high profile. Jan Molby and Peter Taylor were high profile for Division 3 at the time. Phil Parkinson was a gamble and City paid a relatively high price in compensation to get him from Colchester.

I think he'd get the cheque book out for the 'right' man.

He was also the key man in getting Nigel Pearson from Leicester last season which has turned out to be a fantastic appointment hes turned the club from been "very likely" relegation to league1 to one that can compete for promotion back to the prem in just 1 year.

Believe me, AP isn't taking any single line of advice, he's spoken to a number of people and continues to do so, people forget, he hasn't owned the club for a fortnight yet, he'll take his time and do the right thing, that may well be keeping Agar but getting some support around him, I'm not pre-judging anything.
