The league this year is a total lottery.

If the derby is also postponed we'd have fourteen games to fit into eight weeks.

Cancellations against the bottom 2 teams in SL which we would have expected to win and increase our win %.

It's getting to a stage where it's going to be impossible to fit these fixtures in to a later date. It gives some teams a massive advantage and makes a mockery of the league table but I can't see anyway around it unless the World Cup is cancelled (which is looking increasingly likely) and the SL season is extended.

It's also a massive concern that the number of cases are rising exponentially and will explode after "freedom day." The government scientists are predicting daily cases of over 100k in peak summer with potentially 2 million having to isolate. They are planning herd immunity but you won't hear them using that term.

Well PHE have used the term this last week stating that 89% of the people are likely to have antibodies present in their system which they say means herd immunity is almost achieved

Surprised PHE called it out for what it is but I was suggesting that no government minister has used the term. Anyway the point I was trying to raise is that due to the predicted rise in infections it's inevitable that more games are going to be postponed. It's a complete disaster for the sport.

They will have to extend the season

Controversial i know but maybe we should now stop testing players.
Given most of them have no symptoms it should be only the ones who feel ill that are tested and removed from the team.
We have to live with this and herd immunity is almost achieved.

Surely that's got to happen, or the season might be doomed. Championship & League One teams seem to be doing okay (or the testing procedure is far less stringent) but my team Leigh have a very small squad, but have yet to be affected by Covid.

That's what happens when people have the jab and you use tests that are designed not to detect infection but to detect virtually anything and gives a false positive because there is no infection. The second test is PCR which is the problem a much as testing with LF or Antigen as none of them detect infection/
Even the manufactirers stated it would give influenza like symptoms and Grant Schapps said quite clearly on BBC the other day that double jabbed will get 'covid'™ massively more than unjabbed/
All very predictable and the 19th July is yet another hoax 'freedom' day, but the footy will still go ahead because they know that to call that off would cause a riot, you can bank on it that the football players will be showing positives if they were testing under the same protocols and same CT of PCR, but they aren't because that would end in the aforementioned riot for calling the game off.
That's even before you get to how easy it is to fake a negative if you are a fan.



This will carry on and on and on, the sport like other businesses will be shut down and even more collapse of small business and sporting clubs will follow, more jabs, more tests more lockdown (that is utterly futile) more jabs, more tests, more lockdown, rinse and repeat until you've achieved what you needed to.

Stretch the league out another 4/5 weeks, can't see World Cup taking place.

Im also in favour of ditching the world cup till next year and extend our season , We can't keep flogging the players like we are for the rest of the season .

I'd possibly rather contract and spend time in an ICU then be stuck in the crowd amongst them herbs.

Interesting comments by Karen Moorhouse today about advocating vaccines and that clubs are keeping records on who's been jabbed. Would hope ours have taken it up given the club made the effort to directly offer vaccines. Struggling to see why now, with the positive impact on hospitalisations and deaths so very clear and very minimal side effects in an enormous number of vaccinated people, there is any justification for not seeking to protect themselves and each other. Vaccines help reduce the transmission that's threatening the game that is their livelihood.

Do explain how its clear when the numbers have gone up after a large proportion of population been jabbed and are far in excess of last year with no-one in the population inhecyed with this crud. Crud that can't ossibly protect anyone from anything. Oh wait, you beleive all the manipulated data from the governemnt despite their continued lie upon lie, criminality and more manipulation of the truth.
Are you really so naive?
Explain how getting this injjected into players(or anyone) helps stop covid positives and allows the game to move forward, please explain how confirmation tests using PCR work to prove infection (that's going to be interesting). Please explain how if you conrtinue testing people who are not unwell but test positive using a flawed set of tests that can't detect infection actually proves anything and how that helps the game move forward to normality/fixture fullfillment and indeed keeps fans in the stadium and money that keeps the sport agloat.

It can't be, can it?

It's pretty simple.
The huge number of vaccinations has resulted in enormous reductions in hospitalisations and deaths and very few adverse reactions despite ludicrous conspiracy theories, and we also know that it helps to stop the spread. We all have a responsibility to protect each other and the best way to do this is to get the freely available vaccine and continue to maintain sensible social distancing whilst cases are rising again. Our sport is being crippled by the prevalence of the virus, so beyond the self evident fact it's just the right thing to do as responsible citizens to get vaccinated it will help the sport too. Don't post drunk.
