| Quote ="knockersbumpMKII" not using the youth when he had chances to over the last 1.5 years this has now put our youth system back in terms of development hugely IMO.
'"
Nail on the head, - Radford is incapable of (can't be @rsed) developing young players, & IMO is the reason most of our recent signings are in their 30's, - they don't need coaching.
Its a short term fix (to save his job?) & surely Pearson can see this goes against his usual `youth development' - `jam tomorrow' rhetoric, when pass sales need a boost.
If he can't, we are in deep sh** !

From an outsiders perspective - Hull players seem to go out of fashion and get moved on to be replaced by other average players who have just happened to have a good season. It's rare you sign any genuine class like Ellis.

| Whilst I don't think Radford is good enough as head coach (and was certainly put in way too soon) I think the biggest problem is the apparent lack of any long term plan or strategy for the club in almost every area.
There doesn't seem to be a plan for developing your young players or for the playing squad as a whole. And that comes down to the management rather than the coach. At Leeds our squad has been managed and developed by Hetherington. Now the head coaches have all had significant input obviously, but it's been within an overall framework and structure that's put in place by the management. So whether the head coach is Brian McClennan or Brian McDermott doesn't matter THAT much because the management (ie Hetherington) is ensuring that aspects of player/squad development etc continue regardless. The same goes for young players, because the Leeds management ensures youth development is a priority regardless of the head coach, the young players know they are going to be treated well and given an opportunity.
That continuity and stability is vital and something that Hull are sorely lacking in my opinion. Your squad is a mystery to me. It appears to change vastly from year to year especially the important positions of 1,6,7, and until recently 9 too. It never seems like there's a plan, it's as if the management go "oh cr@p we need a <insert position here> who the hell is available?" without any real regard for how they fit into the team or how long they'll stay at Hull/how committed they are to staying at Hull.

Were supposed to be using Wigans club blueprint focused on development with the emphasis on bring the youth through to finely play first team .
We're doing a great job on how it shouldn't be done as well .

| If we lose to Wakey on Sunday and lets say Radford does fall on his sword we will have Horne and Last till the end of the season. It's not like football with plenty of coaches waiting in the wings. Pearson needs to be looking now for a new coach to come in for pre season.

I don't think Radford will walk. Why would he? He's not conceded any responsibility for anything negative so far and Pearson is satisfied.

There is nothing wrong with our playing roster, it's just we lack a coach who can consistently get them playing well

Radford may be inept, but he has never been satisfied with poor performances. He just doesn't know what to do about them.

| Well my feeling is that unless he does something soon, next year will be very poor in respect of season passes. Faithful we may be, but idiots we're not and we won't stand for having our pockets picked year on year.

| I bought my pass as soon as they came out in order to get next year's at the same price. Whether I actually bother to get one will depend on where we finish, who is in charge next season and which players come and go.

| I be amazed if I get a pass next year, for a start the club performances of the field, secondarily the with the amount of cheap tickets available for nearly every game, then it actually costs me more to get a pass than buy each game.
I really need the club to persuade be to buy another pass next year, but this just doesn't look like happening.
Recruitment looks very promising for next year, but with the coaching situation I don't see us moving to the level I think we should be at.

| Just spending plenty of money bringing in big signings isn't going to work, if the coaching and game plans are poor it will not bring success, just look at Salford

So, presumably because you don't like him, you didn't take any positives from him stating that his plan was to make us a top SL club, and that he would continue spending until his last penny was gone, in an attempt to achieve that. He also stated that, unfortunately, it was taking longer than he had expected.
FWIW, I do not believe Radford is the man to take us forward. Unfortunately at the moment Pearson does.

This is where you are wrong.
Everytime ive listened to him, he's inspired me, re ignited that flame kept my interest in the club. He's been positive and good for the club. This interview was a completely different tone altogether.

| Adam Pearson, Save this club
Been reading the umpteen page thread in the week he was announced as buying the club. Apparently he's gone from the
Messiah to the devil in only five years. Some of those bashing him now gave him such praise and adulation back then.
Funny thing this sports lark.!

A backrower in the style of Pritchard was desperately needed.
Quite happy with our overall recruitment under Tony and Radford, but plenty of other areas of Radfords coaching, team selection and handling of players that are really a concern.
