Despite all the conspiracy theories about why we aint saying anything Adam will have taken legal advice on what he can and can't do. If the mail and everyone else who seems to think we should be making a statement wants one, then they should get a written legally binding document from the Allams that agrees that if any confidentiality is breeched by a statement, no action can be taken and that agreement should be printed in the paper. But it won't happen and we won't hear anything. Have a statement from our owner or as burnsey says risk getting kicked out I know which I prefare

I think Assem is slightly bonkers, he saved my club, so I'm obviously grateful, but he does some very odd things and is not entirely reasonable all the time. As I've already mentioned on this thread, I was very critical of his treatment of Barmby, I happen to know what actually went on and the way it was presented in the media was not accurate.

I have no idea what the lease terms are, so I have no idea what can and can't be done under the terms of that lease. I've seen the SMC accounts and though they aren't detailed accounts, they do show that the SMC is not covering it's costs and that's a situation that needs to be sorted.

As things currently stand, Ehab Allam has gone on record to clarify several numbers involved and stated the case for the SMC, until someone contests those numbers and claims that things are not as stated, then I've no reason to think they're wrong.

Adam needs to state his case, he should have done so already.

He's been invited to bin any confidentially agreement and reveal everything.

Even a statement saying he wasn't responding due to the confidentiality agreement would be a start.

He's been invited in the press by someone who may very well not have the authority to make the offer. Frankly I'd rather he didn't risk our tenancy on such tenuous grounds. Oh - and some confidentiality clauses include a ban on even mentioning their existence.

There's also the matter, pointed out by the club's Media Manager last night, that nobody from the SMC or Council has been in direct contact with FC about any of this. So it seems to me that not responding to a media rant is the professional - and wise - thing to do.

Well enjoy travelling to Melton to watch city, as a city fan myself I certainly won't be going to watch them if there moved to Melton I don't think Allam realises how many casual floating fans he will lose by moving to Melton.
