strange that we are only offering Moa a one year deal, i would have thought he deserves a 2 year deal at least.

Thats because they didn't, as i have told you sams manager was in contact with the club and there words, at this moment in time he is not in our plans for a new contract however things may change in the future so if another club was offering a contract it was up to him whether to take,sam wanted to wait and see what happened and turned down a contract at Huddersfield as he desperatley wanted to stay with us

true it drops another one next year to 5 and with Berrigan, Lauaki, and O'Meley contracted it would only leave us with one place if moa signed on for longer.

and thats before fitzgibbon decides if he wants another year.

I personally think he was exactly what our pack has been crying out for for a few years and we should spend what we need to to keep him. We get critiscised for signing overseas players on the wrong side of 30 but then this guy comes up who appears to be one of the better props weve seen and also has 10+ years left in him. Appears to be a good level headed guy too who wanted to work hard to get a new deal and has done so. Right attitude and right performances. I'd have him in my starting 17 in front of Dowes for a start.

Totally agree. TBH if I were in charge, Dowes would have to have a fantastic season to be offered any kind of contract extension. He is possibly playing his final season at the club and added to Cusack's presumed retirement, we will be very light in the way of props which makes it even more important to keep Sam.

On last season's form I would agree. He works hard enough.

with releasing dowes next year we are light on british prop forwards from the looks of it would need to nurture some new ones throu in between and we don't exactly have the best of records for nurturing forwards.

I'd envisage that cusack will leave next year and maybe berro (wouldn't blame him) at worse so moa imo should get a 2 year wouldn't surprise me if that is waht he has been offered elsewhere and is the reason why they aren't getting an answer straight away.
