We'll be eighth at best in my opinion and that's just about where we deserve to be. Of the nine games we've won this season, only one of those (Warrington) has been against a side currently above us in the table. The other eight wins (Harlequins x 2, Bradford x 2, Crusaders, Wakefield, Salford and Rovers) have been against sides below us.

Those stats tell a big story and also disprove Craig Murdock's theory that we "always do well against the big teams but struggle against the lesser lights". I suppose if you count being a 'gallant loser' against the big teams then Craig may have half a case. You don't get any points for merely playing well though and in the past four seasons against Wigan, Wire, Leeds and Saints we've won FOUR from 28 games. I rest may case your honour....

Rovers have had a similar issue, this season at least. 1 win against the teams currently in the top half.

After a couple of seasons of more even competition (IMO), the top teams seem to be pulling away again, the KuH clubs are trailing in their wake and 2 or 3 bottom teams are well adrift.

Not sure it's 100 per cent accurate but I know someone posted that stat on here earlier in the season. We certainly haven't beaten Leeds since 2007 - that in itself is a sorry stat.

Quite correct, Beat Wigan at the beginning 1st game of 09 season. Beat Saints twice last season and beat Wire this season. What baffles me is that supporters tend to assume we have turned a corner when we win a couple of games, regardless of the fact the games we win are against poor opposition. If we continue our season by not beating teams in the top 8 it means we have 2 wins to look forward to for the rest of the season

We all know that when push comes to shove we can't hack it. We don't have a winning mentality at the club.

By the end of next season agar's teams will have earned somewhere around £8million in wages/salaries

Nice to see us rack up 50 again but Salford were poor last night. That is not to take anything away from the players for sticking to the job at hand. Agar also sensibly brought off certain key players when the game was dead and buried.

I do get the feeling we are going to be putting all our eggs in the Cup basket.
