Not snowing down here ATM but none of the stuff we had midweek has melted either. More expected on Sunday and Monday. Hope things don't get worse before next weekend as one way or the other I intend to be in Hull.

It is good to think that we can still even consider playing a game in these conditions at the KC. Whereas other teams are at the mercy of the elements.

Just a thought...Maybe the dobbins could make their east stand extension out of all this snow and just hope it stays cold!!

retriving my kids, getting half way home before one of them realised they had forgotten "the most important thing in the world ever", going back to school, collecting said important thing and coming home again, all in all just shy of an hour, and 40 mins for the trip from the last time I left school to when I abandoned the car on my driveway (parked would imply some element of it ending up where I wanted it).

Ive seen your driving, the care rarely ends up where you want it to be anyway!!

So much for using public transport as usual it cannot be relied upon. I cannot understand why people have such problems driving in a bit of snow. As long as they drive sensibly there is not any problem, but as is usually the case the odd moron is in too much off a rush causing a little knock and it has a knock on effect.

Trouble is driving sensibly means slow due to the hugely increased stopping distances, and leaving much larger gaps when pulling out onto roundabouts etc, all of which slows everything down and has a knock on effect throughout the road system. Couple that with people that either don't know how to drive on snow through lack of confidence, or think they can drive far better than that actually can and you get all sorts of fun issues.

On my extended trip home from the kids school earlier, I saw a double deck bus get a little bit sideways.

bet there were a few clenched buttocks both in the bus and the cars beside/behind it.

they generally move out the way.

Yep - certainly off. Chelsea got back on the train and have already gone.

Its going to cost city a small fortune to lose that on Saturday in lost revenue , Sky cash etc to have it moved to a midweek fixture perhaps at the end of the season in a game meaning nothing.

The snow is not the problem it's the black ice and sheet ice.The wifes just got home ,it took her 45 mins to do a normal 2 min dash.Most HGVs cannot get up hills or flyovers.Its crazy out there.

I guess after spending a few years in a country where lots of snow is the norm it amazes how this country seemingly grinds to a halt when we get the white stuff coming down.
To be fair it came down heavy this afternoon in Hull and the lack of experience of the majority of drivers when it comes to driving in the snow in the UK all plays a part.

The worst culprits for me today where the idiots waiting to get onto the roundabouts, going for gaps that are fine when its clear but when it is like this they are just asking for trouble.



Cannot blame the stadium people for the Hull/Chelski game being called off, it was probably a decision they had no control over. The stadium and pitch were fine but like has been said the access areas will have been deemed 'Unsafe' by the over zealous H&S people.
Getting to Hull from London will not have been a problem, nor would getting to the stadium from the motorway.
