No, as Jake's post says, debt is a balance sheet item. Repayment of it therefore has no impact whatsoever on profit. The club could make losses and still pay off some of the debt if cashflow was strong enough and they so wished/had to. Likewise there are plenty of highly profitable companies who still go to the wall over high debts.

I hope they choose wisely though, remember that clubs have to start showing some 'home grown' players increasing yearly. FC have already gifted the Robins some of their best players (Shaun Briscoe for one). I do not want to keep Huggie poaching some more to boost his morale, although maybe Judas taught him that it doesn't always pay off.

Since they have been promoted they have signed an injury prone second rower from us, our second choice fullback (still overrated imo, Lee Smith showed how much better a fullback he is in the first half against us last week, Briscoe is Mr Average), and a young prop who was going very much backwards. Paul Cooke is the only player to have left who was a big loss to us, and he has hardly set the world alight in a Rovers shirt

Think we are one of the best in S/L for doing that...Burnett has burst through this season and Hodgson is looking good.....our back line could be all British next season

The profit is probably due to you not paying up to full salary cap amount. After all your surely not paying full salary cap for that shower are you?

They're last year's accounts. I don't reckon we'd have been too far off then. This year it's pretty much common knowledge we have a fair chunk spare because of Crocker. Should post another profit next year then as well.

With a good side and some success on the field, the club would make loads of money we could be dept free in 5 years.

Aggregate attendance is likely to fall, although not by as much as might be imagined. Last year's total was 174,614 and so far this season we've had 121,349 with Celtic, Huddersfield, Harlequins and Bradford to come.

I agree with the overall sentiment throughout that 1. the club are doing something right off the field and seem to be improving and 2. the playing and coaching staff need to emulate that performance on the field.
