I know. Edwin Davis is a listed building. Is the space big enough for an ice rink and swimming pool? When they knock down Bond Street Tower I suppose they can close the road and expand eastwards. As I said the obvious place for it is next to the KC. Time will tell if that's where it ends up.

Have you any idea why the full amount of the guarantee (nearly £2 million) has been written off in the last accounts? I would have thought they'd have included the payments when they are actually paid as they cover the next3 years.

Which might explain why Town pay so much more. Does the rent cover a similar level of service? Genuine question, what does the SMC do for Hull and City beyond general maintenance and cutting the grass. Stewarding? Ticketing? It could be because expenditure on the stadium is treated as a balance sheet item rather than a charge to the profit and loss account. For the KC it looks like all spending on the KC is charged to the profit and loss account as the lease isn't shown as an asset in the accounts.

He mentioned policing costs, the obligation to buy £140k of Hull FC tickets and claimed that the food and drink needed subsidizing. He challenged Pearson to waive a confidentiality clause, so the books could be opened. Pearson did respond to that, I vaguely recall. Though if they'd been prepared by Allam's accountants, I can understand why Pearson would maybe not be keen to argue on their terms.

Stewarding, yes. Catering, I presume so. Ticketing? Think FC run their own sales and admin as SMC charges became prohibitive reportedly. But SMC print the tickets I think?

I think it has something to do with the Premier Club seats. Not sure of the details but I think the SMC sold them and divided up the money between the clubs. I think now each club is responsible for selling their own seats.

It looks like some of Huddersfield Giants' accounting goes thru' a company called Huddersfield Sporting Pride Ltd.

Has anyone seen the anonymous letter Angus Young received from a hull City employee?

The gist of it was that Hull City have been abusing the SMC, running non-stadium and Hull City specific costs through the SMC books.

If a company is thought to be abusing a lease in someway, and especially whereby the owner of the company could be construed to have a conflict of interest, surely there is some sort of law to challenge this? It is a clear assertion that he is helping Hull City (probably legally I don't know) through the SMC accounts? Some accountant can assist here, but surely the auditors of any of these accounts must challenge some of the figures therein?

So... Hull FC have been making a financial contribution towards staff of Hull City.... DISGRACE!!!!
