We can't find any decent props, we can't find any decent halfbacks, we can't persuade anyone of any note to come to Hull and the Westerman rumour is probably a made up joke to keep people amused for a while.

JR will have a ready-made excuse for 2011 failure when Horne and Long miss half of the season but on a more positive note, Radford and Dowes will be smashing up SL in a massive way !! Peacock, Morley, Graham, Mason, Crabtree, Fielden, Lynch etc.. etc.. will be hiding under the covers at night, wondering how the hell they're going to get all of that cack out of the sheets !!!

Overreaction? If Hull signed Bailey it would have a disastrous effect on season pass sales. It could only be topped by signing Cockayne as club captain, Paul Gadd as chairman and Michael Barrymore as CEO!

The reaction on here is ridiculous imo. I don't like Bailey but then again he is the type of player nobody would like unless he plays for your side. Calderwood was the same but he did well for us and turned people's opinions around.

Bailey is a big aggressive prop and had we not signed Dowes it would have been a good signing. I can't see the merits in it now though as we already have four props and some cover.

You can already see a subtle shifting of position in certain quarters - 'bad players don't win four GFs' etc. If he signs terms like 'yard dog' will creep in. By the end of the year, if it is a good year, at least some will have adopted TMFMISL and be giving it 'Classic Bailey', I reckon.

I have missed him actually. Been dull on here during his sabbatical. Hopefully we can get some abuse flying around again from him and he can keep feeding his clique all of these rumours that never seem to come true so they can pretend they're in the know but ultimately look like idiots for believing him

I don't think so. I know that most RL fans are fickle, but just because you've witnessed your lot make a colossal U-turn over Craig Hall doesn't mean we'd do the same for Bailey. Put aside the fact that the guys an enormous pudding that never runs his weight and has the tackling technique of a drunkard, but he's also a simpleton and a thug. The usual club apologists would defend the signing, but the majority would almost certainly stay disgruntled.

Perfectly summed up.

Seems to be well liked as a person. The worst the quota base could come with on him as a player was 'skinny', 'weak' and 'decision making is poor', hardly requires crisis of conscious to hope he bulks up a bit, gets stronger and makes better choices.

I've always been a big fan of Hall. I dont think he's as weak as people say, i do however think that he continually makes the errors around his decision making. We've been trying to get him to make better defensive choices for example for a number of years, no doubt Justine will succeed in 3 months of pre-season training.

The biggest thing with Craig Hall is just keeping his confidence up. He can put in some good performances when his confidence is good, but his head goes down easily. He's undoubtedly got good attacking flair, but his confidence is what lets him down the most. His defence isn't the best, and he often rushes out of the line for an offload, but that can and should be worked on.
The main thing is just making him believe in himself.

It would certainly be a talking point if he did succeed in improving him.

Certainly would, but Hull did all they could for him to succeed and overcome his many negatives. He ran his course at Hull, but who knows elsewhere.

But we can't really know either way on that for sure.
