Jamie always seemed like a good lad.
His goal kicking speaks for itself. When he first started playing regulary, he complimented this by being very safe with anykicks, high or low. He also added a lot of energy to any sort of scrambling defence, often being in the right place to intercept offloads and grubbers or make a last ditch tackle.
He'll finish the tries that he should if given the oppotunity.

What he lacks is any sort of physical size, which makes him a little ineffective when trying to scoot out of your own half. When Saints' season was going wrong we had him and Makinson (another small winger) and we were struggling to get away from our try line at times.

In our run of bad results, Jamie had a hard time and made a run of dreadful mistakes and when the coaching staff changed they moved Meli out from the centre to the wing which successfully gave us more go forward.

If Foster can regain the mistake free part of his game, then he'll be a good, not great, player for you. The important thing is that is he does lose form, you don't let him hold you to ransom with his goal kicking.

Would have liked to see a few more pats on the back for him from his team mates for that it was an outstanding individual play. I think we were a bit knackered and it was easier just to walk to our drop out positions though

It's because of this kind of comment that I hope he really goes well at Hull. Some Saints fans have had a downer on him for a while, and all because he has a hairstyle and likes to drive a fast car.

It's common knowledge if you ask the Saints fans over on their board that the only reason you are Foster's apologist all the time is because you fancy him.

well we are to lose tickle unfortunately, he is already getting his kids in school in wigan as he is moving with his partner and kids. Unsure were he will end up, maybe used as a bargaining tool or to raise funds. Foster ideal replacement kicker but doubt he will be here next season but stranger things have happend

Tickle already lives over there. According to all the stories, part of the problem he has is the commute over.

Thought he had a good game and the tackle was brilliant a rallying call if ever there was one I wonder if he is here early and signed for next year I would really like to see him playing for us week in week out next season

I'd much rather sign Foster than Crookes in all honesty, but I doubt that's the case. Also I can't see us signing two wingers, so it will be one or the other.

And I didn't put him down, I gave a pretty balanced assessment of his playing ability with both his pros and cons - which part of my post is inaccurate?

He has kids here in hull with a hull lass, they have already told the school they are leaving and will not be back next term as they are moving to wigan (to be near his other kids) he has kids in wigan and in hull !! according to his kids he is playing for wigan but i would take that part with a pinch of salt, i think they get mixed up with living in wigan and who he is playing for.

If he wants away, then so be it. You can't do much with an unhappy player, especially where family is concerned.

I've heard from a very good source that the announcement of his new club will happen in the close season. He goes with my thanks for putting his body on the line week-in week-out and a really fine second-rower.

They are, fortunately, pretty easy to come by, but I'd consider putting Westerman in that slot for the rest of the year. He's been poor most of the year so who knows?

Tickle has served our club well over the years and will be sad to see him go but that opens the door for another to make their name. True seems to be a few around at present, will be a loss but sure we can find sumone to fill the hole, i would expect its the kicking duties that would cause concern, i dont think westerman is our answer imo, ben crooks? but is that too much pressure on his young shoulders? time will tell. Shame we cudnt have Jamie Foster, winger (which is needed) and goal kicker.

Foster isnt coming to FC full time gentle said that already , he isnt the long term target, but had a wow of a game tho thats for sure

And also put himslf on the radar of a lot of clubs with that performance I expect.

I wouldn't complain at all of we did sign him, but I would rather our two starting wingers next year were Briscoe and Lineham. The latter would obviously need to impress first and get a lot more game time to prove he is worth a starting spot, but he went well on Monday night and he definitely h the potential.
