Had numpties behind us slating Sharp all night and yet it was our left edge that got done a couple of times.

However it's usually our left side that puts points on the board also.

Obviously your first try was legitimate and in no way obstruction?! Little old Salford fully deserved our win! Never get any credit when we win. Most of you lot predicted we would take a beating, oh well better luck next time! Salford Reds are rising! Superb turn out by your fans though!

That's true of most sides though.

It won't happen overnight. If we're still giving performances like that after round 12, it's worth worrying. After 3 games is too soon to be hand-wringing.

TBH we're not on here to hand credit to Salford, but well done anyway.

I really worry about the Martin/Sharp combination to me it looks awful. No threat in attack and not to great defensively.

True, but a defeat against Salford is bound to cause anger. It's very early days in the season but it's a bad defeat.

Still doesn't detract from the fact that we panicked near the line needlessly.

On the plus side, Seymour looked much more comfortable, kicking is getting better and McKinnon continues to impress.

Hull are a " work in progress" so they can be excused this defeat .

It was a bad defeat and, by the sound of it, a poor performance. Stuff like that will happen though, particularly early in the competition. We were poor, Salford had a good day, our lack of props didn't help and we lost. But it's not a cause for anger until a pattern of results like this with no signs of improvement emerges.
