Both had better years than Rich in 2014. Hadley will play a little 9 as well I reckon.

I don't think Radford has much confidence in Cunningham and as we haven't moved to the two refs I don't see why we'd play Rankin there (apart from AP has anyone else even mentioned this? Rankin himself hasn't) plus Hadley's played there before (IIRC) so it seems to fit. Also allows Radford 4 big men on the bench, which I reckon he'll like!

Hadley hasn't got the passing game for a 9 and Whiting will be ahead of him to back up Ellis's and Mini.....not seen anything in Hadley to suggest he will be anything special apart from a Hull postcode.

If in doubt throw in the HU postcode line!

I sort of agree with baldy actually. Hadley came in last year and did ok, but the best you can say about him is that he didn't look out of place. If he is going to justify his selection ahead of Whiting he has to kick on. I'm not writing him off btw, just saying that right now Whiting still offers more.

That said, Whiting, by his standards, was poor last year and as the season goes on I can actually see Turgut stepping up to be our bench second rower.

Too early for Turgut, Radford said he wants to keep the 19's together as much as possible, so apart from possibly a handful of games I think it'll be 2016 before we see him on any regular basis.
Don't agree with your Hadley comment either, the kids got great hands and runs really good lines, Whiting hasn't had a decent game (by his standards) since Gentle's first year.

If Radford plays Hadley at hooker, it would be a massive mistake, far too big and slow to play there, people moan about Houghtons distribution from acting half, but Hadleys would be ten times worst. Cunningham should start on the bench, he is a hooker who has played there all his career (Except a few games for London), he impressed when he got a run for London in the starting 13, so he deserves his chance, lets be honest he has played less than 80 minutes at hooker for Hull. People are writing him off way to early, he might not be upto SL standard, but he deserves his chance.

His build and frame don't suit the position, its all about low centre of gravity, able to bend down quickly and release the pass from the floor, or pick the ball up.
