Never been his biggest fan but must admit to feeling sorry for the guy at the end last night. He was applauding the fans and no-one seemed to be reciprocating. After the years he's put in thought he'd have got a better send off.

Kingy seems like yesterday when I was with you Dad at the Boulevard watching your first turn out, a lot of water has flown past Sammys point since then. He could maybe have achieved more, he acheived helping us into SL, he helped to keep us there when things got rough in 99. He managed a Challenge cup winners medal, runners up medal and SL play off runners up medal. Not as much as some but more then a lot more, remember upto this year Lee Bries had got zilch. His fear of flying and confined spaces has been well documented, suffice to say the detractors had a field day with that.

Maybe the off field stories are true, most are wildy exagerated of that I have no doubt. He has always given effort on the pitch and he has a rapport with the fans, he is one of them and one that has not forgotten where he came from. He will be no doubt sat with us in future years, like so many others from the past held in esteem for deeds acheived, not mis deeds. Too many of our fans did not see Kingy back in his youth ripping defences apart and giving us hope for the future.


Kingy will join the elite group of greats simply because he was Kingy, a fans favourite. A human being who wore his heart on his sleeve and never wanted to leave his only PRO club, perhaps this is not quite the end of the Paul King show quite yet

Such a shame that he let his attitude off the field hinder his career.

Could have been one of the best props to play for Hull in the last few years.

Nobody could argue his commitment (on the field) and love for the club.

I hope if he gets another chance he works hard and doesnt waste it.

Such a shame, but he has had so many second chances, a real waste of potential. But we've had plenty of those over the years (two bob's anyone!)

Not in so many words no but if he don't get a club we probably will out of ths seasons cap to maximise what we have to spend in next years! He said to someone this weekend that he was finding it hard in the dressing room after the game getting his head round having to play against Hull Fc in the future so I guess he could well go to Barrow!

Top post Ian. Always enjoyed watching Kingy through the years, always gave his all for the club and wears his heart on his sleeve. He has let himself down from time to time but in the main has been a great servant to the club. Sad to see him go and I wish him all the best for the future.
