Dont know a lot about Jamie Lyon these days but his he as good as when he was at Saints even though he wont be coming here?

Am I missing something as to why Lyon would come? He is getting back into the swing of things on the SOO side of his career and is playing well in the best team in the NRL. Why would he come and move back to the superleague?

Same with SBW, he gets paid more than our full salery cap for the year playing union and has always wanted to play for the union All blacks.

On another note anyone into to AFL? I knew Israel Folau's first foray into AFL was a disaster but hear now he is improving with every game. I'd take him in a shot if it began to nose dive, but again he will be on a couple of million a year doing that.

Jamie Lyon has been fantastic for Manly this season, which is why i doubt he`s coming over here to us.

Lyon didn't play SOO this year, and I doubt he will again.

I reckon he is a shoe in next year at centre and played for Aus last year. A few people in this thread have mentioned SBW unless those letters mean someone else?

I heard the Pomeroy rumour once on here has that died away? I think he'd be a good signing.

He played for Aus last year (Anzac Test) because Folau didn't get picked as he was about to switch to AFL. He wasn't in their 4 nations squad last year, and players like Idris, Jennings & Cooper will be ahead of him for SOO now.

He tried to in 2010 but didn't get his letter in on time.

It doesn't matter how deep Pearsons pockets are, have we got enough salary cap space for Jamie Lyon and a prop?

Lyon has another two years on his Manly contract and is their co-captain.

There is way's around that Pearson can write him a seperate cheque.

I heard we are looking at having a 6-8 man first team coaching set up Attack skills & conditioning, perfomance analyst, High performance coach and defencive coach. Along with DOR, Head Coach and Assistant. Looks like AP is giving PG all the tools.
