Thats a bit unfair if his latest misdemeanours have only occurred in the last week or so.

TBH I hope the club do cancel his contract with the club regardless of how thin it would leave us as it will lead to problems within the squad with players not been happy about him/his antics and also the fact that no doubt he will do it again.

The reason I say get rid now is he has already had 2 issues that have been dealt with and this 3rd one comes not long after Agar thought long and hard about giving him the No.1 jersey due to his previous record, so with that in mind he has really gone and got his head down hasn't he NOT!! The guy maybe a talented player but is a tool and we can not tolerate it any longer! He's had enough chances now and stuck two fingers up to the club his teamates and fans so time for the club to return the favour!

Not really. They're caused by us failing to bring in the back up half back we've been trying to get for months and failing to use the cap freed up by berrigan's departure, even though the club knew months ago he was leaving

And I'm sure others just shrug their shoulders and crack on with things when things happen they don't like

but, nonetheless, there will be plenty of moaners moaning regardless. It's what moaners tend to do - the clue's in the term "moaners".

And lead us down the road of every other player thinking they can get away with murder. If he was on a final warning they have to get rid. The example keeping him would set is too much. Even I don't think the club are that daft.

The procedure has already been followed.
First offence - warning to improve behavior
Second offence - warning to improve behavior
Third offence - they could simply dismiss on the basis of previous warnings and no behavioural change. As long as FC have clearly set out their expectations previously and can evidence that he has failed to meet them again they can dismiss... immediately. I'd suggest that the delay may well be FC taking legal advice to ensure Tansey keeps quiet when he goes. May well be a compromise rather than dismissal on that basis.

Sack Tansey he doesnt care about the club at all ..three times in a year is taking the pi@s !!!

If we cannot get Sammut then its a no brainer bring in Phelps ..he was in top form before his injury last year for wigan and certainly could do a job for us and with him being out of a job wouldnt cost loads either.

but how fit is Phelps?

Honest Answer I dont know but I would imagine he would of kept in shape.

If we have failed to get Sammut etc then I would go for Phelps to replace Tansey for this season, if Phelps fits in well and has a good season then possibly extend look at extending his stay, dependant on other targets etc.

Agree that Tansey has to go though no question about it, had his chances and proved he hasnt listened or changed his lifestyle in the 12 months.

The longer it drags out , The more chance he'll stay . Three indiscretions within 12 months tells us this sort of player/person isn't going to change any time soon. Number 4 wont be far behind when we'll have to chop and change the team again . We can't carry on like this.

I think they'll keep him purely because of the weakness of our squad.

However if we sign Sammut/Phelps/AN Other then the next time Tansey messes up (and it won't be long coming) he'll be gone.
