What are our SR options atm?
Savelio, Lane, Scott, Griffin, Lovodua, Sao?'"
If we don't suffer many injuries in pre season and Savelio is for for game 1, then I think we are good to go, it will be later in the season, but hopefully after a pre season the likes of Severs will be ready for a few games.
I still think we will bring in a new forward at some point, it might not be before the season starts, but expect movement as the season develops.
I still think there is a player in both Griffn (awaits certain poster) and Taylor, new coach and last year of contract might bring the best out of them both.

I agree with you to an extent as up until his injury Griffin was one of the better performers in the squad. I do think that a combination of his injury and the way BH operated has certainly had an impact on not just Griffin but the team as a whole. As for Taylor I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank so to speak as since carrying our go forward like he did for a couple of seasons he's been pretty poor and not had a decent injury free run for quite some time now.
Hopefully TS can reinvigorate and rejuvenate the players that seemingly lost their mojo under BH of which there were quite a few.

Lane and Savelio is a decent partnership. I think we'd all like a 3rd option.
Not a massive fan of moving Ligi to SR, but if we signed someone like English that could be an option.
I've been told things about Griffin and how he was towards Hodgson, it's not a great look for him. Hopefully he can find some form if he is staying. Agree that him and Taylor can be good squad players, but I wouldn't be in a rush to renew either of them for 2024

Really surprised that Griffin is still at the club to be honest. The sponsor guy i know told me that Pearson had really had enough of him and his attitude towards the end of last season.

| Good move by Leeds to encourage Prior to retire a year early, shame we can't do that with one of our players.

The more you hear about last season and the attitudes within the camp its clear that BH had no authority or control and shows the poor professionalism of some of the squad members.

Griffins lack of effort was disgusting and an insult to his team mates.
The club obviously have tried to offload him but i guess his salary will be the stumbling block for Championship clubs as he is no longer S/L standard which i think he thinks he is.
Not sure anyone would want him even if Pearson paid part of his salary

Most FC fans are perplexed by Griffins behaviour after taking a severe injury and fighting his way back to fitness, then struggling with Brett Hodgson’s style of coaching. Tony Smith has stated that it’s a clean slate as far as players are concerned, maybe you should take notice of that, or are you above all things FC. Training recommences shortly, let’s see how we go from there. I’ve stated several times previously, that your vitriol for certain players is inexcusable and I do question whether you are, actually, an FC supporter. You have no clue what the machinations of the Club or ADAM Pearson’s thoughts are of anything FC, apart from what you read on here, which I might add is usually made up nonsense. Get over yourself and buy a season pass, then you can complain as a true fan.

I was no fan of Brett Hodgson as a coach but to blame him for Griffins lack of effort on the field is just nonsense.
Whether you like it or not as i said his lack of effort was disgusting and an insult to the club, his teammates and the fans.
What Tony Smith said about players having a clean slate is standard when a new coach comes in and means nothing.
He will be well versed on the players by Pearson and Clark particularly non performing ones.
I dont need your permission thank you to criticise a player or anything i see that needs improvement,If that offends you or any of your other mates on here so be it.

| I wouldn't mind the likes of Shaul, Griffin, Taylor and Houghton as squad players, but the issue is that all 4 will be on or close to six figure salaries, that's a a lot of cap on players you would have in your starting 17 (maybe Houghton).

That would give them two amazign props, but that's a lot of cap tired up with two players.
Once (or if) they release Napa and Drinkwater I expect them to make at least one big overseas signing.

JWH is a thug and penalty machine.

And worringly all 4 are ones that would be part of the so called leadership group. Sadly the recruitment/retention policy or plan has been shambolic since Motu left and all the good work done then has been wasted. We have a lot of cap tied up in players that have shown over the past few seasons thei attitude is somewhat lacking in terms of work ethic if they don't like the, training, the coach or some other reason which is inexcusable. One thing I hope the club has learnt is that the option of a further year should always be under the clubs control not a players especially when now very much in the twilight of their careers.
Thankfully we now have a proven and experienced Head Coach who we hope can deal with any player regardless of name appropriately in term of any attitude/application issues, With certain player deals running out at the end of the upcoming season at least if we can not move anyone on then hopefully they will want to perform to earn deals preferably elsewhere.

| Looks like Hookem could now be going to Cas. Already been doing some training there.
Also a couple of the younger players have apparently been told they are free to leave if they can find another club.

Any names?
Shame about Hookem, as think he has potential, but was poorly treated by Hodgson last season, so can understand him wanting to move to another club.

Wasn't told any names Dave. Just Hookem. Can see why Cas would be interested with him being able to cover both half back and hooker.
