One would hope that, although there is nothing in the public domain, decisions have already been taken and wheels put in motion. For all the talk coming out of the club, I'd hate to think they were [iactually[/i waiting until the end of the season to decide anything.

Some of the ooc players have just not been upto standard.They have had their chance just like the coach, we really do need a better calibre of players and coach .

If Adam Pearson is talking with everyone at the club "one on one" who is going to take the blame for the last 4 seasons and falling attendance's? Someone will surely crack and point the finger, surely???

It could be that AP cannot do anything about RA until the end of the season because his contract might be like that of a banker, where his bonuses depend on how big a failure he is.

I don't think it's a financial issue with agar (unless his fairy godmother stitched the club up with his contract). Either pearson knows he's the problem but wants to give it until the end of the season before acting, or he doesn't perceive agar to be the problem (worry there is who is advising him) and will back him into next season

That's my biggest fear now, with all the suggestions that AP has saught advice from every corner of the game, I'm just concerned that he may be taking JR's advice over all others as he has been the biggest supporter of Agar in the past, albeit that may have been on a directive of the 'old' BoD.
In saying that, it does appear that there are more coaches looking for clubs at the moment rather than the other way around.
Lets just hope no rash decisions are made and lets be a bit more patient with AP and have some confidence that he will make the right call at the right time.......Still doesn't stop me from having a few jitters though

Just going back to the 'whose to blame at the club' angle of this story;

Surely in any employer / employee set up if the team fail to achieve or improve upon previous performance and generally come up with the same errors year after year and replacement player / member of staff after another you would think the penny would drop and you would look at the head guy in charge?!

It isn't fecking rocket science!!!!

However at Hull FC it seems to be other members of the backroom staff who take the blame for the Head Coach's failings. I wonder if the same will happen again?

This thread is a classic example of why people should wait for an official announcement to come from the club rather than listen to the opinions of a few poor journalists who let themsleves think they know something.

The vast majority of fans want Agar out. Speculating on if he is or isn't going at this point in time is largely irrelevant.

AP takes over with a hand ful of games left in the bag, still in with a hout of a playoff payday or two so there is no way he will rock anyones boat now OR until the season ends at which time he will of done all his internal / staff "conversations" and he will of course then make a descision on many things when there is nothing to play for anymore and go from there which is the professional way to go and in my opinion the correct way to handle it, why upset the apple cart when there is still playoff fottie beckoning???

I am sure there will be many changes around the club come the end of our season when ever that may be but for now its slowly slowly catch the monkey and get everyones opinion so he can then formulate his own, however as i said there is little that can change before 2013 season as next years rosta / quota apart from a few tweaks is already done and dusted so for 2012 nothing much will change player wise will it apart from maybe two more ins and outs than expected and lets face it AP has said as much himself.

OK reality, AP is no mans mug, he has bought into FC to make money and lots of it and to do so he knows full well he has to be a sucessful club owner and as his reputation stakes he will make changes at any lever to get the club where he wants it as quickly as possible but above all else he will do it properly and professionally and without leaked comments or newspaper involvement that much is certain...
It is muted he has promised nearly 15 Million pounds to the club and its infrastructure in the coming seasons so alongside of that sort of imput there will have to be sucess on the field so the rest i leave to your imagination of who will and will not be on jobseekers allowance at some point but he will not do anything before the end of the season which is sensible indeed and what i would expect of him .

I still maintain that RA will be with us next year if the vibes i am getting is correct and that will take him to the end of his current contract i believe, but i assure you that AP is not a mug and knows much more about rugby and FC than he lets on and will know exactly what the staff and fans feel about RA but along with his £3 mill input he gets the right to make his own shouts on how the club operates but again i will say he is here to make money and be sucessful that is clear ...

He intends to make FC big time FC asap so I dont know why everyone is worrying, let the man do his work first then decide after he makes his moves wether he is who we believe him to be...

So a top business man will make a decision after he has had a chat with every-one, he will not have the experience to realise office politics are often at play, nor will he be interested in Agars poor results....Basically if every-one gives Agar a good review, he will be kept....Yes that sound like the plan of a shrewd business man

AP has been around the club/ stadium long enough to know the internal politics at FC and the players and divers involved.. any businessman worth his salt would speak to everyone fisrt then add those comments to his own feelings and make his model for the future from there!!

It was proven with Sharp and Moore that if anyone goes against Agar they are rail roaded and left in a position where their role is unmaintainable.

AP got all the admin staff in nearly 2 weeks ago, told them they were all safe and he was happy with that side of the business and their jobs were safe, he told them he had an open door policy had they any issues.

AP has not spoken to any individual players in the context you are suggesting.

So that leaves the coaching staff

What can change for 2012 is bring in a top coach and lets have a good seasoon, with Agar in charge and another mediocre season next year that crowds will be down to 8/9k by the time a new coach comes in.

If he doesn't act (I think he will) then he is very foolish imo.

I find it hard to believe he's that stupid but maybe he is.

Hull FC, will never be a challenging club with Richard Agar at the helm, this has been proved this season, he wanted us to give him a go with HIS team, well hes got HIS team, and hes done presicely sh!she with it, hes an average coach, and if Adam Pearson doesnt act soon, he will lose money, crowds are down this season, and they will be down further next season, thats a given, the buck stops with Agar, we, the fans (the heart of the club) have been fed bull for the last 3 seasons, regardless of where AP wants to take this club, he'll take it to mid table, with the current coaching set up, the lot need to be shown the door! i know this fan, has had enough, hes still in a job with our club next season, i wont go, and iv been going for over 30 years!!

I think that was his point, no matter what aspirations Pearson has stated, there will be no change in our status if there is not a change in coach. We are at his level, 6th was a blip.

There won't be any change (if any) until the season has finished for us, and as a club which (rightly) doesn't make announcement on rumours whenever possible, coupled with AP's "peekaboo" style of surprise takeover, any speculation is purely that, and any public mooring such as the Guardian article will be rebutted and rebuffed equally publicly.
My gut feeling is there is no smoke without fire and moves are afoot to make a good (but probably not great) change to the regime. But that's all it is, a gut feeling - I do apologise profusely for not having some inside info or "knowledge" as some may make claim to!
