I’m sure it will start again soon about our lack of options in the back row and how we need to replace mau .

Tbf it's the one hole we have in the squad now. With how the Clifford press release was worded I hope we can wiggle a SR in

| Only seen highlights but he looks the part. It’s a new spine and potentially far better brand of rugby next season.
I’m not expecting miracles but just want to watch expansive entertaining rugby again and not the diva rubbish we’ve had to endure.

That would be my side to start the season if everyone is fit, if Truman isn't back we can use Lovodua or McNamara at 6, depending on how the latter goes in pre season,
There is also Gardiner who might get a FT contract based on last seasons first team debut, expect a few more young players to be promoted too, the likes Staverly, Jebson, Armstrong (all forwards), Lewis and Wacokecoke (backs), Moy. Medforth and Harman (pivots). Also a wild card too, a bit like Laidlaw who developed so much and came from no where.

| About 5 years ago Carlos would’ve come off contract but they changed the rules. now they have to have been trained in a UK (or French) based club for like 2 years before they were 18

| Very very good signing and the club deserves a ton of credit for getting this over the line, especially the contract length of 2 years plus a 3rd in our favour. Was worried we would panic and sign Wakeham.
The general consensus from Newcastle & Cowboys fans seems to be very positive about him as a player and a person, makes a nice change from signing blokes like Gale & Reynolds who we got ridiculed for signing.

That doesn't matter, they have to played some junior rugby here, that's why Savelio doesn't count and Leigh and getting Lam off quota.

As you rightly say Cliffords signing is very good and all involved in getting it done deserve a lot of credit. Have read quite a lot of comments from Knights fans in the past few hours and not one seems happy that the Knights have let Clifford go, quite the opposite. There's quite a few suggesting that Clifford is a genuine article in terms of becoming a top half in the NRL. Sounds as though their player retention and recruitment is in a bigger mess than ours ever was too from the comments, and some suggestions that the story from the club and O'Brien of Clifford being homesick is and has been 'garbage'.
Certainly exciting times for us moving forward with a real change in direction at last backed up by the appointment of a proven and experienced coach in TS.

| Nearly as much as the new signings, I’m looking forward to seeing how TS can develop some of the existing players.
Players like McNamara and Jordan Lane still haven’t realised their potential for me, and TS might be the one to help them fulfill it.
Also think Jack Brown is tailor made for development under the new coach.

| Pity we couldn't send Lovodua out on loan, and sign Elijah Taylor...
The acquisition of Taylor would kill 2 birds with 1 stone, replacement of Mau and solve our lack of leadership qualities...

| With the HDM article, suggests we may be looking for another winger. I'd take Matty Russell, he's out of contract and does provide a bit of pace and good in backfield too

He'd be on half the wage of Shaul, and a step above our academy prospects

| We have very limited if any cap left, we shouldn't be spending in on a winger, we have Swift, Mcintosh, Mitch, Scott, Wynne, Barron and Martin who can play on the wing.
We currently have 2 experienced and recognised backrowers, if we can get any money, it has to be spent strengthening that position.

He's highly rated at the Roosters.
Hopefully we can get a SR sorted before the season starts
