It's a long time since I've heard/seen that word. Made me chuckle.

I have a mate who's a Saints fan (don't think it's you) who said the same. He says that he performs on the park when it matters - the big games - but he can often go missing and really frustrate you as a supporter in other games.

Aye you can't beat a hot fadge.

It's amazing how these frustrations become so prevalent when Long's leaving, but never seemed to be in evidence when he was helping them to umpteen trophies every other year.

Hadn't you better get back to whining about your performances/coach/etc. on your own board?

It's called "Damo Syndrome" and means that anyone who plays for the team you support is fantastic and a world beater, but anyone who plays for another team is over-rated or crap - see the VT for evidence.

As for Thorman if he's unprofessional enough to call out the fans who were on his back (it only started after the Leeds away game IIRC) then I'm glad to see the back of him. Did he walk round the pitch on Friday? I didn't see him but then he was probably picking up the toys that fell out of the pram.

I'm sure he's done his future in the game a power of good with that dummy spit!

Let me just say don't watch the highlights from Saints v Catalans from last week as you'll be even more depressed going into next year with Longy's performance

I know what he is like, I know he goes missing the 2005 CC semi springs to mind. He can also be devastating in a very short space of time and FC have not had a recognised scrum half since Casper retired, so we could have been desperate.

1)its not his fault he was not good enough

2)we have no real idea what his instructions where

3)Our pack was well beaten before it took to the field

4)Our coaching staff did little to help his confidence

5)He was not on his own last year

6) Too many people where very quick to jump on his back

7) Who gets it next term now he and Tommy have gone

I thought it was a decent article tbh, the point he made about the fans was a fair one. That said still glad he has gone!
