Is that the best you can do?. Believe it or not i do watch City every now and again and theres coppers all over the place. You must come to a Hull FC game and you will be lucky to see one police officer in the stadium. FACT.

I understand that a march of support has been planned for today's game against Charlton. You have to meet at Silver Cod and then walk to the KC chanting "Imhotep"

| I don't think I've seen this question yet, but how much a season does the SMC make from Hull FC's gate receipts for crowds above 7500? I know they take 50% for anyone above that and I undestand renegotiation of those terms increased the crowd threshold, but surely what ever they take over a season offsets this £140k premium passes and £70k for the bars?

You really do stand for everything that is toxic about this situation.
We have two RL teams in the top league and hopefully a football team about to join what is seen as the best league in the world and you want to take this negative point scoring view. No wonder we struggle with the city of Hull's image nationally with opinions like yours.

I know this is hard to believe because you are so obsessed with Hull FC but most of us have a life outside of sport. I know Standee was busy out of town yesterday concentrating on something far more important to him than a petty argument between Hull FC & City fans and their owners.

| Quote ="Lambrettaman"Despite 108 pages of conspiracy theories about poor treatment of FC, gagging orders, corrupt businessmen and some rather unfortunate references to sand and the ayatollah, it seems 90% of everything posted was a complete nonsense.
The SMC is losing money, leaving it to lose money ongoing isn't a reasonable option, so the tenants both need to pay their way(particularly as the KC is now over ten years old, repair costs are increasing and due to lower attendances and the council closing all their offices, the revenues are dropping).
It's now clear that FC were made aware of the new charges well in advance of them being implemented and were given every opportunity to keep whatever pictures they wanted, but chose not to keep any of them, that's hardly the Allam's fault.
They've offered to hand the SMC back to the council, who will obviously not touch it with a barge pole, as it's losing money. There's an open invitation to discuss all terms included in the SMC agreements, so the gagging order defence is also a non-starter and the longer Adam says nothing, the worse things look.
I'm obviously a City fan, I've no real interest in rugby league, but as a Hull lad, I want all Hull teams to do well. I also appreciate the regard in which Johnny Whitely is held and his record does warrant recognition within the stadium, but it seems to me that this whole things has been completely blown out of proportion and was completely avoidable. You should really be looking at your own management for answers, rather than aiming unfounded accusations at a local businessman.'"
The key fact is that contracts cannot simply be changed unless there is mutual agreement.
There is also some creative reporting via the HDM. Terms like "The SMC have had to take in the chin" and "The SMC are subsidising" when in fact these are contractual obligations is what is blowing the facts out of context.
I can understand you backing your Chairman, but you must also see the inequity of this situation and that playing it out in the local press, knowing that the counter party is bound by confidentiality is a very lop sided viewpoint.
Its also a surprise that despite the last contractual review (in 2006) the SMC continued to break even / make a modest profit until 2010. Is it just coinsidence that it has been making significant losses under the Allam reign? It doesnt take much to transfer certain items intra group from an accounting point of view.
Anyway, if they truely do want an open book situation, as has been mentioned, that would tell up whop pays for the non sporting images at the KC.
I have also noticed on this thread that Stewarding is provided free of charge? Now I have not seen the lease agreement, original or revised (I doubt many people have), but at no point has this ever come out into a public forum that the rental agreement for a sporting facility did not include stewarding. At what point does that start getting charge? Because it would take a formal agreement between both parties to change that, unless of course there is a date in the current agreement which states so.
As a City fan, are YOU happy with the running of your clubs business? Aside of what happens on the pitch, are you not the slightest bit concerned by the behaviour, attitude, and public comments of your owner? That Hull City's debt position has increased in their reign regardless of the fact that when they took over they very publicly stated that they spent in excess of £40m on Hull City.
Are you not at all concered that your owner publicly stated that he would move Hull City to Melton if he didn't get legal title to the KC. He didnt get it yet there are no plans afoot for relocating yet? Why has he not gone ahead with this?

| The thing that I find most interesting in all of this is the fact that neither the Council or the SMC have contacted Hull fc since all of this has kicked off.
Ehab Allam seems quite content in playing this all out in the press but yet has not contacted the one party who could help in bringing about a solution to this situation.

I think there are 3 types of non rugby fan that come on here who are Hull City focussed.
There are those who simply can't be bothered to respond and are read only.
There are the clear dimwits like pony... who cannot string three words together.
and there are those who are passionate about their club, but to the extent it clouds their judgement.
The points I raised, re changing of agreed terms needed both parties to agree and the stewarding issue are still relevant to this thread, IMO.
As a slight side note, when did the conflict start between Hull FC and Hull CIty fans? Was it pre KC?

I've supported Hull FC for over 30 years, I don't believe a serious conflict has ever been there (apart from the minority knobs from both sets of supporters). However, I do believe that since City got into the Premiership (and out) there is a majority belief that they can survive in the KC without us.
When Hull FC get into major finals, I personally know loads of City / Amateur footballers who supported us and vice versa when City got to there playoff at Wembley.
I am absolutely convinced that the Allams will destroy our relationship with Hull City both profressionally and at supporter level.
PS. I still smile about the fact that in my younger days the 'Hull City phychos' tried to recruit me, I declined.

| Think Bet Lynch can't get it through that Adam Pearson as an ex SMC board member has a gagging order on him .
Been the owner of Hull FC means they can't comment as that is him.
At work have idiots saying we pay less for passes than City ,that thick don't realise we have 14 games against there 20+.
So they'll never get it we pay less some where near £600,000 to there £1million
to much for them to figure.
Pony if still reading the breaking crossbar in court was a City supporter leader go read report,

With an average of about 12,000 that is half of 4500, 2250 x 13 which is a hell of a lot less than the half above 12,000, which with averages of 18,000 and above, and have been higher, multiplied by 23 which City pay.
Have no doubt about which club is paying the most.

You do actually realise that City pay a flat rate of 1m per season.
As you say we pay 50% per the total average gate per season above 7,500, for 13 home games.
Hull City pay a total of 1m per season they do not pay per average gate per season as Hull Fc do.
So we have paid £600.000 a season for 13 home games, City pay £1.000.000 for 23 home games
so basically if you average it out we are paying over £46.000 a game. compared to city who are paying an average of just over £43.000 a game

| Quote ="The Dentist Wilf"Exactly and let me make this perfectly clear before anyone goes running off with any ideas. I see that in today's article in the Mail Allam is searching desperately for scape goats and says that FC Voices never warned us about the importance of the Johnny Whiteley pictures, well of course they didn't they don't have Crystal balls, the first they knew about his pictures being removed was when the ex players reported it to the group and the Club last Friday night. It speaks volumes when they claim they were unaware of what their actions would cause when they were directed at probably the greatest living sportsman in the City!
The group did complain to them in the past about a year ago, about the foyer area and the eyes something that was reported on here. However the removal of all the pictures was a surprise to us all. The group haven't even met with the SMC for months because since John Cooper left they haven't heard from them and the SMC have certainly never ever consulted as to what they should do in the Stadium or how the fans would take it. There is little doubt that the actions of a couple of members of FC Voices this week has got under their skin!!!
That really infuriates me!!! He's trying to deflect the blame. I had to put the record straight and will not be commenting on this again there are bigger battles to fight!!! Sorry rant over!'" He is just hitting out to try to blame other people.I for one would like them to give up the SMC and let it be run by and interdependent body
