Lyon (full quota) & chase (non fed) i think, as i understand it at the moment we have one non fed place, if Obst were to leave that would leave us one full quota place, i think we could only sign one or the other.

Every season we get this sort of rumour and as usual I expect to be disappointed.

i know i was explaining the quota situation although i don`t expect either of them to be signing for us, it`s only wishful thinking on some peoples behalves i think.

I like many other's including yourself post names on this thread.It's not to say they are deffo coming but what get's banded around.We put in 2/3 offers in for chase last year to no avail,but unless Obst is moved on,i can't see him coming especially if ''''rumoured''',leeds,amongst others are in for him.

The good thing is that none of the names rumoured will end up at FC, but at least the names are more exciting than Chris Thorman and Skinny Byrne.

As for this whole Sing/Barnett thing well Barnett was awesome with a capital Awesome. Shame we didnt get him earlier but he was a pleasure to watch.

The Panther was absolute class,the partneship he had with Colin Best just oozed tries,not 20 metre run ins either,60/70 metre specials were common place. The way Barnett crafted the openings and Best's pace finished them off was a joy to watch. I hope Bombers still as sharp with his spotting as he was then.

It was a great partnership, add to that Preccie steaming up on their inside.

Barnett was a heck of a defender as well. I remember you could hear the hits going in. Probably my favourite centre since Jimmy L.

The one I always remember was Sheffield in the cup. Barnett dropped back a bit before taking it up (take note current squad), going for the line the direct way. You heard the contact from the stand, but he ploughed in for the try. In the aftermath as Prescott was lining up the kick, the Sheffield physio/water carrier had to escort one of their 2nd rowers from the pitch, holding his hand like a kid as he weaved all over the place.
