Don't see why huddersfield would just let robinson go when there building a impressive team and for sammut I don't see it happening really .its ok getting rid of berro but depends what kind of players were bringing in to replace him

Interesting the number of people saying that it's a shame Berro's leaving, he'll be missed etc but don't mention what it is exactly that we will miss. Players like Moa, Manu, Houghton, Tickle & Briscoe all contribute far more to the team for far less wages, while O'Meley & Fitz show what we should be getting for that kind of financial outlay.

I'm not saying he's useless but if we can get rid of Berro a year early and improve the squad with the money we save we should be delighted, not expressing regret at his departure.

Another interesting development atlthough possibly unrelated concerns Wakey who despite being the team that when quizzed by Humberside on the possiblity of taking Burnett on a season long loan said they had no money left to spend, are to announce two signings at their Thursday night fans evening!

He's a top player who could influence a game playing centre or hooker and bring a wealth of experience and class with him. I have no idea who is coming in if anyone but rather than a stopgap for a year I would rather stay with Berro. However I don't think he will be bale to turn down offers from back home.

IF Berrigan leaves,

I hope the club, dont sign a big name player, in a position we dont need strengthening.- just to enhance season ticket sales.

We need a creative hooker, who can back up as halfback - as simple as that.

We need a 6/7 who can back up as hooker. Houghton is far more likely to stay fit than Horne & Long.

We need a ball player, not a runner, the only ball player in the squad is Long.

If Long gets injured, we are clueless.

Regarding Berrigan, we never saw the best of him, as nobody backed up, when he scooted from dummy half.

Until we learn as a team to back up, we will revert to playing akin to a team of 5 year olds.

Nah, you need a new off half and scrum half, you can find a player in the squad to cover the hooking role for 10/15 mins while Houghton takes a breather.

Ideally, but unless we sign a huge name Agar will intend to start the season with Long and Horne so the new guy might aswell be able to rotate with Houghton at hooker to make up for the loss of Berrigan while he waits for the inevitable injury.

Not a case of if but when Long gets injured for me, he managed less than 50% of games for us last year and was only just over that for Saints the year before.

Totally agree about the backing up but it's been a problem for years, pre-Agar even. It doesn't wash as an excuse for Berro being average though since we weren't backing up any better in 2008 when he got player of the year.

If Berrigan leaves we have to sign a half-back, no excuses!

For Saints the previous year he played 22 from 31, ie 71%. He played 15 out of 28 this year for us, that's 53% BTW.

That's how I see it. Berrigan has been a waste of money IMO.
