If I was to put money on it, I would back Catalans. They have stayed over here so the travel aspect can be negated. They are coming to us on the back of an embarrassing result which will ensure they are more determined than normal. They are also a very good team and their backs look far superior to ours. I just can't see us winning. Sure hope I'm wrong.

rovers will hammer us irrespective of whether we win before then or not. Thwey have pace out wide and a good kicking game. Our centres and 2nd rowers don;t seem able to handle pace

Grind out a result against the French and at least the confidence levels will be slightly raised for what's to come.
I said it at the time and seen nothing to change my mind currently, I would swap our halves every day of the week for what Rovers managed to recruit.
Played some nice expansive rugby against the French that I unfortunately don't see us anywhere nearly capable of at present.

You'd have thought after our first couple of games confidence would be high already heading to Salford but I don't think results make much difference either way to the confidence and mental state of this team, as we never know which hull side is going to turn up irrespective of the previous weeks result.
I think our coaching is too structural and rigid.

I agree with about Rovers halves too I'd take them over ours any day. Against Catalan they took the line on had a great range of kicks, played off the cuff and had a superb range of passing, something distinctly lacking at the Kc.

I think Catalan will have learnt lessons defensively from their defeat making it even harder for our poor attack to break down so for us we will have to defend them into submission and sneak a win which I think we will do.

Yep Catalans have stayed and Carney has just flown in!

Defend at our best and we will win the game. Anything less and we will get what that level of performance deserves. Massive game looking forward to it.

A short turnaround for what must be a confidence hit Catalans side plus having to live out of a hotel for 5 days while preparing. I think that there is a good chance that Hull will cut loose and really go to town on them Friday night.

He was at St Helens even though he was injured. I'm not that bothered whether he plays or not, we should still be winning. If he does play I hope we are smart enough to exploit it.

Catalans will play without Todd Carney (broken ribs) and Benjamin Pomeroy (suspended). But Catalans should still win.

Not that it will happen, but need to find a way of getting Shaul and Rankin into the team, probably our most dangerous runners and two of not many that can make a break and finish it off.

Were gonna get nuked

Pryce will be out to have a good game against his former team, alongside the fact Cats have a tendency to play a lot of the game down the middle. It is a game that could suit us very well at the moment.
On the flip side when Cats are in the mood they can score for fun in short periods of time.
Very hard to call this one but will give us a narrow win due to home advantage.

If we defend like we can and they defend like they have the last two weeks, we will win a close game.

If ever a team is down on its luck and needs a win then its a perfect time to play Hull FC as Salford and Wigan found out. Add in the fact that Cats have only won six games away in the last two years and the writings on the wall

shaul at FB rankin at centre. that way we have both on a rankin an extra ball handler. also if fit Thompson should ALWAYS be on the bench to replace watts at prop, or cover for any other position imo

Catalans scored 20 past us but didn't really look very threatening though. 2 of the tries they scored were barge overs when we didn't even bother to move off our try line. They also managed to score twice whilst we had a man in the bin.
I think if FC can defend well enough then you could scrape a win.
