I think the main issues a lot of the members have stem from the fact is nothing other than negativity upon negativity upon further negativity, we all know how the club are ad have been performing, we can only look to improve and whilst yes the signings aren't world beaters, its better than what we have now, its more experience, more structure in the backroom and one thing you cant throw at Myler is that he isn't trying and really shaking things up which has been needed for a long time.

The constant negative posts from yourself and Bonaire just serve no purpose and at times it comes across as no matter what the club say its that ingrained in you to be negative that you'll find something wrong with it.

Lets just see how next season plays out

I haven’t been negative about next season at all….its been a long time coming,investment,DOR,improved back room staff,new head coach,new assistant coach,a raft of new players….ok,a couple are dubious but il see how they get on…only thing I’m negative about is Grix…don’t rate him and out of his depth and to compare me to the biggest whiner….jesus

Yeh the strong rumour from the club is Pearson to stay on as CEO for a limited time that's why he hasn't replaced Clarky, but as I said earlier what I know is deffo right as of Sunday, but this is just hypothesis for now. What Ive also gleaned today is that there will be absolutely nothing from the club for legal reasons until its signed and sealed. i

Imagine the money that would be made if we built our very own purpose built stadium. Around 18k capacity. Such like Saints ground.

In what millennium would a rugby league club start to make profit after shelling out what’s likely to be somewhere in the region of £50 million to build that type of stadium from scratch? As said before the St Helens stadium cost £25 million 15 years ago. We have no existing ground or land to sell and the council would have no interest in building a ground as they already built a bigger better ground for us to play in.

Also I’m not sure it works that they’d be no overheads if we owned the stadium, quite the opposite.

The key to it will be getting a workable deal with the new lease.
A bespoke stadium would be ideal, but not realistic in this financial landscape.
Wonder if the potential new owner will have a pro active relationship with the SMC?
Be interesting to see if the new ownership involves more than one person being involved as well.

That’s all I can think of, I doubt any SL club would turn down potential investment but if he has choose Hull to invest in then maybe the control he wants in return for his investment isn’t possible at Leeds.

Also I honestly have no idea what the role of ‘president’ at a SL would involve, sounds like more of a title rather then a particularly active hands on role but I could way wrong on that.

Just an honourary title, I think. I imagine he'll relinquish it once the deal is complete.

As much as would love our own dedicated stadium, I agree. It would have to be a self financing Sports Village similar to Leigh and where will the club ever get the money to get that off the ground? If investors came in, they would be the majority share holders, not the club.

Yep, There’s not one SL club at the last accounts making a profit, if they own their own ground or not. Gate receipts just don’t pay enough. It would literally take decades and decades to pay it off.

If there was some magical way we had enough money and were desperate not to pay rent then it would be easier to just buy the stadium.

Wigan lost £1.7m in their last accounts having lost £1.5m the year before. Luckily for them their owner is seriously minted

Contrary to popular belief the SMC is very good to us. It actually subsidies our costs against match day operations and the nominal payments we make are significantly below what it would cost us to fund a match day operation.

Our (Hull FC) contribution to pitch renovation (1, 200, 000 (also including new verti drain machines, top dressers, sacrifices etc) was part funded by the SMC and EFL funding via football.
Nothing from us.
