It was the DoR aspect of the story that made it stand out - there have been rumours of Agar to Wakefield for at least a week but the "promotion" at Hull FC hadn't been hinted at anywhere else to my knowledge. |

Maybe Pearson is playing clever? Agar may well have been looking for a safety net and spoken to Wakey informally "just in case" with Pearson coming in. Especially as it's Agar's mate in charge there. The story breaks in the Guardian about Agar having had talks with them and Pearson spots an opportunity to force him out by saying that can't be true cos he's under contract with us he can't go anywhere. Maybe in Pearson's initial talks with Agar there had been some mention of a DOR role for someone , not offered , just spoken about. It gets it into the public domain , Agar's breached his contract possibly , no compensation needed and it's decided to part amicably.
OK clutching at straws but what else is there?

I heard AP told Agar to win every game for the remainder of this season including the grand final and he might still have a job at Hull.If agar can't deliver,then he is out of here.  |
