It would be ridiculous to sign an overseas winger unless we're losing one of carlos, fonua, michaels or bin man. We need a decent stand off but suspect if we get anyone it will be gaskell which would leave us with 3 average stand offs

I can't answer for everyone else, but my knowledge of the NRL this year has dipped. Not seen much of it at all.

Having just looked at a couple of the teamsheets for Wests this year he seemed to have played left centre inside Rankin. It makes no odds, it'd still be a strange one when we have Connor, Griffin, Logan and Tui who can all play left centre.

More a right centre I think. I still have an inkling radders will revert Fonua back to the wing given the squad coming together

According to Connor interview he sees himself at 6.
That means we have three who can play 6 but no established 6.
Just hope we get the half back which is what is needed.
The Naiqama rumour seems a bit strange but a good wing with plenty of speed.

Given what we have seen this season from Fonua he would be wasted on the wing.He sees much more ball and action as a centre.
There is an interview with Connor on FC live.He sees his position next season here as a 6.
If we sign an established 6 which we need i think Connor will end up like Naughton on the sidelines just filling in when necessary.

I see champions Wigan are in for Albert Kelly. Crikey, think we were linked but it's interesting that Wigan might think he's worth a punt.

Kelly has everything needed as a foil for Sneyd. He could really flourish under a strong coach and senior leadership.....I would love to see him in black and white.

Certainly. Washbrook a waste of time, Michaels not big enough, Bowden/Green not up to it, blah, blah, blah. Radford and Tony certainly have recruitment runs on the board. Some movement to come I reckon; we can't have world beaters in every position but the squad overall has looked good this year, no reason to think we're downgrading IMO.

Carlos will only get better I believe. Some overseas players can take a while to settle in. Pat Richards and Gelling are two that come to mind.
Carlos has good skills and is strong in the tackle.
As you point out,players like Danny H and Sneyd have been written off by some in the recent past and look how that turned out.

Theres been lots of games this season where CT has been invisible and weve effectively played most of the season with just one half

I like Tuimavave but as a centre not 6.
If the club are actively looking now at or for a half back which is what Adam Pearson has said then i guess they dont think Carlos is what we need at 6.

As much as I like CT as a player he is not a specialist 6 and would in all honesty be a make do. I am not convinced CT at 6 is what we need and don't think a full pre season will make that much difference. Yes he is a good player but just not sure he is the right answer at 6 and would we just be playing him there to get him the 17?

Thought he looked to have all the makings of a very dangerous centre but we seem to be loaded there unless Fonua is moved back to the wing but with Talanoa & Michaels we have 2 wingers taking quota spots??
