I just want to go watch a game - i'd still go if it was 20 quid.

We want our owners to run our clubs on a business footing but want them to be fans , to spend at the drop of a hat and give us stuff for free or cheap.
We want our players to be professional and we demand passion , for them to put their bodies on the line for the club they "love" but we expect them to do it for a fraction of what a half decent footballer can earn.
We want our administrators , referees and TV companies to be perfect and to manage regulate and promote our wonderful game but generally we want them to do it for love.
We want the best of everything , quite rightly , but we can't have it for free.
The game and all of those mentioned above have many faults and we will all disagree with how to rectify them and how to move forward. One certainty is that without the support , including financial at the turnstile , from the supporters the game will die. There will be plenty of RL Fans that will simply not be able to afford to do that this coming season so the last thing we need at a club like ours where massive effort is being put in on and off the field is for supporters to cut off that financial support because they believe , on principle , that a game is overpriced by a pound or four. The club will have budgeted what they need to pull in to do what they want to do , they will have considered whether they may get more takers at £14 or £12 and so more overall income than pitching it at £16 and taken a view. They may be right , they may be wrong but we can't have this sport and club that we all love without paying for it.

I dont have a problem with the prices, all four stands are open for the Rovers game so there will be more staff costs.

I personally will not be attending. Far too many derbies in a season already and we still might play them in the cup and play offs. Also living in the south I wont be splashing out my hard earned for a friendly. Petrol costs being the main reason.

One game I will be attending is the annual challenge between London Skolars and Broncos. They charge £16 to stand in a field in the middle of January. Yes a field similar to what local amateur sides play on. So based on that £16 is reasonable.

Too expensive in this climate. A derby isn't a novelty anymore - I've seen loads in the last few years. I'll be going to the Cas one and thats it till the season starts.

£12 adults and kids in for a quid would see a bigger gate.

I do think it is on the top side of acceptable really, I think anything much more than this and it would start having an effect on numbers. I do think the earlier suggestions of £10 and £12 are bit unrealistic as well, although I would like to see them make more effort to get kids to these games - maybe a £20 family ticket, i.e. one adult and two kids? The arguments about the economic client, the stadium we play in and the game on offer are valid ones. I will attend.

I was at Leeds Wakefield game yesterday. To sit it was £25 adult ten for kids. Standing on ends was 20 and 5. £16 suddenly looks good value for our game.

the missus dithered and made us10mins late anyway, and in my haste to get there after parking miles away realised I'd left me shiny expensive phone on my car seat in full view -not a good idea in headingly -.
