The current Labour group are not stupid and there IS NO PRESSURE TO SELL THE KC for any finacial or political reasons. Any money raised from any imaginary or otherwise sale could not be used to subsidise care homes, school teachers, music academys, Hull truck or reduce the local tax.

I also see in his plans that the protected great crested newt colony is get its own special close to the stadium is to get its own playing pitches looking at the plans ...............

Disagree with recent past posts and think james rule should make a statement on the clubs behalf, expressing its veiws on ground sharing with rovers/ merging and even relocating.

Thats what i want to know? Can we get investment and support to move on or do we have stay and get shafted? what happens if we are asked to leave?

This is all starting to boil down to how strong is our lease agreement and does it give us control or the SMC control of our rent agreements. I.e. We may have the right to stay as tenants but can we afford to stay?

Let's hope the rental agreement ball is in our court, because then Allam would have to buy us out to the tune of a shiny new stadium if he really wanted rid.

If not, then our deal with the SMC will get more and more expensive until it's not viable to stay and Allam can palm us off with whatever he needs to - playing at CP, a merger (as by then he'll have a big influence over Rovers) or tell us to bugger off and find your own funds for a new ground.

The club will probably come out shortly and tell us our lease is watertight and we have a right to stay at the KC. But what are the caveats within the lease agreement?

I really hope you're right Ian. I may well be guilty of panicking but I recall the Lloyd disaster all too clearly and while the two situations are very different I have the same bad feeling now that I had then. Mind you I'm a natural pessimist with very little faith in humanity so I'm inclined to see the worst case scenario.

This is the desired effect that the Allam's and the HDM want unfortunately.

If city were in the premiership then the amount we pay to play at the KC would be negligible compared to their income. The loss in income would be far outweighed by having the KC to themselves

So, in fifteen years time and City are in the Blue Square (North) and Rovers have entered yet another CVA and are playing before 750 crowds on Poorhouse Lane, we might see enhanced terms?

But can the terms be changed willy-nilly during the 25 years' lease? They already have been at least once, to our advantage, I believe. Was this a one-off or a regular interim review and who had control over it's instigation and outcome - Hull or the SMC?

Infact wasn't it them that said they would only put money in it was a capacity of 35k and City wanted it to actually be at 40k?

If as previously posted any monies made via the sale of the KC have to be spent on a similar project what realistic benefit would the council actually have in selling the KC.

They could build that sparkly new council building they've been harping on about for years. Or they could invest in that lovely new sports village that nice kind Egyptian is looking to raise money for.

So 1million pound will help a Club who have now admitted losing 500K a season since 2007?
That makes them still 1.5million in debt.

plus Mason,s 250k, thats the hefty signing on fee, believed to be 140k( according to Aus papers) and 110k by the time he leaves for Toulon, leaves enough to pay outstanding monies to builders etc!!!
