If any indication was needed of the way the game is going here we are with a great game of passion and real intencity between two teams just about 20 minutes apart on the motorway up there at the top of the table and yet there are empty seats everywhere. Anyone else wonder about that? Top marks too Leigh and Salford on that front last night.

Playoff crowds are always poor. People who pay to go all year quite often don't want to pay again for the most important game of the year so far.
I find it baffling but it's always been thus.

I think it was Gentle in 2013. One of the weirdest play off systems, we finished 6th and beat Catalans who finished 7th. The week after we got absolutely hammered at Huddersfield.

11 years, 6 coaches later.......

Peter Gentle was a good coach and I know, as some of you know, I would say that wouldn't I, as I am still in touch with him and his family but he was a really good tactician, but baffled at times by the attitude of some of our players. In the end he was disgusted by the way some of the players decided they would take his position into their own hands and no doubt also at how Adam Pearson took their side against him. Something that is the most baffling bit about our club percee is that this sort of attitude stuff has been going on for over a decade and the only time we seemed to get it sorted was when some of the players took it into their own hands (2017/17). Thus I think the influx of older more experienced andinfluential players this time around.

I just hope what our new Coach is coming from transferring (as Peter did) from a proper intense rugby culture, where the game and each other comes first with the players, to this lot we have had here this season, isn't too much of a culture shock and he hits the ground (and a few of our lot) running. I still think good luck to him but from what we've all seen, It is a massive ask of anyone.

It's a massive ask as you say. Will it work who knows.But it does seem next year we have a feeling of a fresh start. It can't be worse can it. Certainly be a new feel to the place across the board..As FC supporters we can only hope. But I do think we will be a lot better and can see us around 6/8 . place. Hopefully see a couple more signings to.
