As long as he is playing well (which he is) and we are winning (which we are) I think he will be happy. As the year goes on hopefully we will start to change style a little but at the start of the season in potential rubbish weather each week I think we are all happy to just be getting wins on the board.

Get him outside Griffi/fonua and jones and it's an opposition's nightmare

He's playing pretty much like every other 2 nd row in SL is in round 2
He's also best I can tell playing entirely identical to how he played at salford. 145 m 5 tackle busts ..12.5 m average carry ..2 offloads. He'll walk the SL dreamteam spot with those numbers weekly.

Enjoyable game - we won without really getting out of second gear. Rovers played well and wont be going down if they can play like that every game

Shaul was poor last night. Dropped at least 2 high balls and missed another couple of kicks where he just stood and watched it bounce

Swift was swift. I don't really rate fairamo but hope hes fit and back in next week

Sao is proving to be a great signing. His stats for last week aren't on the sl website but I expect they were similar to last night's which were excellent. Looks like he can do big minutes too

It's odd that, Sao's stats don't appear for either of our games this season on the SL website.

Good tough derby. Stronger team won. Credit to KR for the basketball try but I enjoyed the numerous times Griffin went round the outside of Rovers. Lots for us to work on. I think of the two teams last night one was playing about as well as it can and the victors have a deal of improvement to find. Great start to the season.

I didn't think Shaul was MOM last week, and he was poor last night. He needs to be on the shoulders of Sao, Satae, Jones and Savelio looking for those offloads all the time.

Give Wynn a game at wigan if shaul plays like that next week

4 arrested I hear.

Haven't re-watched the game yet but here’s my thoughts...

Was a struggle for most of the game, credit to Rovers for this. They were the best team for large chunks of the game, and we didn't really get out of 2nd gear. We looked really rattled in some parts, but thought we'd eventually run away with it in the last 20 which we did.

The re-introduction of Satae and Taylor in the final 20 helped eventually swing the momentum back in our favour.

Think Satae will get a few games for his late hit. Matautia got 2 games for something similar against Toronto.

Though Shaul had a bit of a stinker in the 1st half, let a few bombs bounce but seemed to sort this out in the 2nd half, and looked a bit more solid. He needs to push up and follow our big boys though, they always look to promote the ball, he could score a bucket load this year.

Faraimo should come back in for Swift. Swift didn't do too much wrong, but he did get bundled into touch and put in a real lazy effort on Quinlan for his score. Although defence isnt his strongest point Faraimo gives us a bit more umph going forward.

Hopefully Savelio has all his injury troubles behind him, he's looked good so far. Big, strong, line breaking forward.

Sao looked like he was everywhere last night, and his stats seem to back that up. Plenty of metres and offloads, he was even there to mop up the ball for a drop out when we were under the cosh in the second half.

So chuffed we've got Jones, he's Mr perpetual motion.
